Job DescriptionJob Title: Maintenance TechnicianJob Description The Maintenance Technician performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of production machinery, facility systems, and mechanical components. This role requires strong competency across electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical disciplines, including work with PLC-driven systems. The technician diagnoses operational issues, reads and interprets schematics and technical documentation, orders necessary replacement parts, and completes all required maintenance records. Typical work includes installing, testing, repairing, and modifying electrical and mechanical components, performing facility maintenance tasks, participating in safety initiatives, and supporting continuous improvement efforts across the plant. Responsibilities • Perform preventative maintenance on a wide range of industrial and production machinery to minimize downtime and extend equipment life., • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on production equipment and facility systems., • Work with PLC-controlled production equipment, identifying and resolving control-related problems to restore proper operation., • Install, test, repair, and modify electrical and mechanical components on tools, motors, band saws, iron workers, burn tables, welding machines, plasma torches, overhead cranes, and forklifts., • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, electrical diagrams, and equipment manuals to plan and execute maintenance and repair activities., • Order and replace parts and components as needed, ensuring correct specifications and timely installation., • Perform basic tack welding (Stick or MIG) for minor repairs on equipment and structural components., • Test, troubleshoot, and adjust new equipment during installation to ensure proper setup and safe operation., • Apply strong knowledge of lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, PPE standards, and general industrial safety practices during all tasks., • Complete all required maintenance documentation, logs, and reports accurately and in a timely manner., • Participate in plant safety initiatives and support continuous improvement efforts related to equipment reliability and maintenance processes., • Perform general facility maintenance tasks as needed to support safe and efficient plant operations., • Follow all site safety requirements, including use of safety glasses, boots, hearing protection, and other required protective equipment., • Provide overtime, weekend, and holiday coverage as needed to support production and maintenance needs.Essential Skills, • Strong experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment., • Ability to troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled production equipment., • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals., • Experience performing repairs on tools, motors, band saws, iron workers, burn tables, welding machines, plasma torches, overhead cranes, and forklifts., • Comfort working with 3-phase electrical systems and equipment up to 480V., • Basic tack welding skills (Stick or MIG) for minor repairs., • Strong knowledge of lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, personal protective equipment (PPE) standards, and general industrial safety., • Ability to test, troubleshoot, and adjust new equipment during installation., • Capability to perform preventative maintenance on a wide range of industrial machinery.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience in a high-volume manufacturing or industrial plant environment., • Comfort working around heavy machinery, overhead cranes, and mobile equipment., • Attention to detail in documentation and adherence to maintenance schedules., • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision., • Willingness to support continuous improvement initiatives and adopt best practices in maintenance., • Flexibility to work overtime, including Fridays, Saturdays, and holidays as needed.Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a manufacturing plant environment with a typical schedule of 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with frequent overtime on Fridays and occasional Saturday work as needed. You may be exposed to high and low temperatures, loud manufacturing noise, and active machinery. The position requires the ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays depending on operational needs. Strict adherence to site safety requirements is essential, including the use of safety glasses, safety boots, hearing protection, lockout/tagout procedures, and other required personal protective equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Tulsa, OK. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
