Associate Network Engineer Location: Nashville, TN - hybrid (2 days on site) Contract: 12-month contract-to-hire Hours: 40/week Start: ASAP (once screenings clear) Overview This role supports a large enterprise environment and plays a key part in Meraki go-live deployments and clearing backlog across nationwide clinics and facilities. Ideal for someone early in their network engineering career who is hungry to grow, actively learning, and comfortable stepping into a fast-moving healthcare infrastructure environment. What You'll Do • Support Meraki deployment activities, go-lives, and rollout execution, • Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN environments, • Implement adds/moves/changes on switches and routers, • Assist with OSI model-based troubleshooting (Layers 1-3), • Work with senior engineers on product design, testing, and integration, • Support network security technologies (ASA, VPN, ACLs, firewall rules), • Maintain network standards, documentation, and diagrams, • Participate in change management, project activities, and proof-of-concept testing, • Collaborate with availability center teams, customer support, business partners, and vendors, • Occasional travel for on-site upgrades or analysis Key Experience • Networking fundamentals - routing, switching, VLANs, trunking, spanning-tree, • Cisco background - hands-on experience or strong foundational knowledge, • BGP/OSPF, • MPLS, Metro-E, VPN, SSL-VPN, IPSec, • Enterprise WLAN administration, • Load balancing (F5 BigIP), • Remote access technologies, • DNS, DHCP, NTP, IP addressing/subnetting, • Basic experience with network security tools, • Understanding of enterprise change management and ITIL concepts Why This Role Is Open? Backfill for a contractor and added support for enterprise rollout demands. Project expected to run ~3 years with strong chance of extension. Ideal Candidate Traits • Self-starter who thrives in a team environment, • Strong communication and customer-first mindset, • High initiative and desire to grow, • Comfortable working independently when neede, • Able to lift and rack network equipment as required, • 1-3 years of experience in networking or network administration, • Strong foundational Cisco knowledge, • High school diploma required; technical training or degree preferred, • Certifications preferred: CCNA, Network+, Security+
