Job Description The Advocacy Services Program Manager provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for SVC’s direct advocacy services, including the 24-hour crisis line, volunteer and intern programs, and case management services. This position ensures that all services are trauma-informed, survivor-centered, and culturally responsive. The role supervises both advocacy staff and volunteer advocates, supports quality improvement, and serves as a key liaison to community partners and multidisciplinary teams. This is not a remote position. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Program and Volunteer Management Coordination- 60% • Lead the coordination of the volunteer, intern, and advocacy programs to ensure trauma-informed, survivor-centered, and culturally competent service delivery., • Recruit, train, support, and supervise volunteer and intern advocates., • Develop and manage training curriculum in compliance with statutory advocacy requirements., • Plan and implement regular in-service trainings and continuing education opportunities., • Create and implement volunteer/intern scheduling, communication, and accountability systems., • Coordinate partnerships with university programs to ensure compliance with practicum standards and support intern learning goals., • Supervise advocacy staff (3 direct reports); hold regular team and case consultation meetings., • Ensure consistent supervision and feedback processes for staff and volunteers., • Serve as a liaison, as requested., • Oversee quality improvement efforts, including data tracking and reporting on service delivery metrics., • Maintain working knowledge of significant developments and trends in the field of sexual assault in order to enhance the effectiveness of the advocacy program., • Utilize various forms of technology to connect with colleagues and participants, conduct meetings, and create presentations and training. Included, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, Canva, etc., • Carry a caseload of 5–7 clients providing services such as crisis counseling, case management, and legal/medical advocacy., • Provide hotline support, medical advocacy, and participate in on-call rotation., • Coordinate SVC’s support groups and facilitate at least 2 per year., • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in SVC’s data systems., • Support staff and volunteers in addressing complex advocacy situations., • Integrate ongoing debrief and support practices to reduce vicarious trauma among team members., • Conduct public education and community-based training, as needed., • Participate in SVC’s direct service support for victim/survivors, including hotline support, medical advocacy, individual counseling, support groups, and legal support., • Ensure that client information and service records are properly entered into the database, in a timely manner., • Respond to and facilitate requests for professional and community-based training., • Crisis line and medical advocacy on-call participation required, • Two years of direct service advocacy experience in sexual violence or related fields, preferred., • Master of Social Work, preferred, • Prior supervisory experience preferred, • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback and facilitate reflective supervision., • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, emotionally demanding environment., • A strong commitment to social justice and dismantling all forms of oppression., • Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations., • Self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
