Executive Director of Procurement Location: Brooklyn, NY Department: Operations Reports To: Executive Leadership Role Summary The Executive Director of Procurement will work closely with our Director of Purchasing to lead the company’s procurement strategy with a strong focus on vendor relationships, cost reduction, sourcing strategy, and process improvement. This role requires a senior leader with deep food industry experience, strong vendor connections, and the ability to strengthen procurement performance across a fast-paced, high-volume operation. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, strong negotiation skills, and a practical approach to streamlining processes, improving vendor performance, and driving measurable savings without compromising quality or service. Key Responsibilities • Lead procurement strategy across food, packaging, supplies, equipment, and key vendor categories, • Leverage vendor and distributor relationships to improve pricing, terms, and service levels, • Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate favorable supplier agreements, • Assess and streamline procurement and purchasing processes to improve efficiency and accountability, • Partner closely with operations, culinary, warehouse, and leadership teams to align purchasing with business needs, • Analyze spending trends, vendor performance, and sourcing opportunities to support smarter decision-making, • Strengthen procurement controls, reporting, and overall department structure, • 10+ years of leadership experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain, • Strong background in food procurement or another high-volume operational environment, • Established food vendor relationships and a track record of negotiating strong pricing and service agreements, • Proven ability to reduce costs, improve processes, and strengthen vendor performance, • Strong financial and operational acumen, • High-volume meal production, food manufacturing, or hospitality, • Multi-site operations, • Lower food and supply costs, • Improved vendor terms and accountability, • More efficient procurement processes, • Stronger alignment between procurement and operations This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a procurement professional who knows how to build strong vendor partnerships, create structure, and drive meaningful savings in a growing organization.
