Role Description This is an on-site role for a Traffic Safety Flagger located in Baltimore, MD. The Traffic Safety Flagger will be responsible for traffic control, road safety, communication with drivers and construction workers, and training as necessary. Key Responsibilities: • Direct Traffic: Control and direct vehicle flow through construction zones or roadwork areas using flags, signs, and handheld communication devices., • Safety Protocols: Enforce safety standards and ensure that all vehicles and pedestrians adhere to traffic control signals., • Monitor Traffic Conditions: Observe traffic behavior and report any hazards or potential safety issues to the supervisor or site manager., • Coordinate with Crew: Work closely with other flaggers and construction personnel to ensure smooth and safe operations., • Clear Signaling: Use clear, consistent hand signals and/or signs to direct traffic, as per project specifications and safety guidelines., • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods of time., • Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills; ability to give clear and concise instructions., • Attention to Detail: Ability to recognize and respond to potential hazards and traffic issues promptly., • Team Player: Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment., • Reliable: Punctuality and dependability are essential for this role., • High school diploma or equivalent, • Drivers License Additional Qualifying Experience (Preferred but not necessary.) • Traffic Control and Road Safety skills, • Strong communication abilities, • Experience in road construction, • Training experience in traffic safety protocols If you are interested please reach out to our office via phone, email or you can schedule an appointment to come in for an interview.
