Job DescriptionJob Title: Quality Assurance Inspector Job Description The Quality Assurance Inspector inspects, accepts, or rejects work within assigned disciplines to ensure compliance with all applicable codes, specifications, and internal quality standards. This role supports safe, efficient production by performing detailed inspections, witnessing tests, maintaining accurate quality records, and collaborating closely with production, engineering, and applications teams on quality and specification issues. Responsibilities • Inspect work in assigned disciplines to determine compliance with applicable codes, specifications, and company standards., • Accept or reject work based on inspection findings and clearly document the basis for each decision., • Actively support the organization’s commitment to safety and uphold its values in all daily activities., • Observe and follow all safety procedures and regulations at all times while on the production floor and in fabrication areas., • Perform inspections and witness tests as required, completing all associated reports and quality records in accordance with established procedures., • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of all code‑endorsed inspection stamps and ensure that inspection practices meet current industry standards., • Assist the Quality Assurance Manager with keeping all quality books, records, and documentation current and properly organized., • Use hand tools, tape measures, and other measuring devices to verify part dimensions and tolerances during inspections., • Interpret and work from blueprints and technical drawings to confirm that products meet design specifications., • Support production and mechanical assembly activities by verifying that components and assemblies meet quality requirements., • Utilize hand and power tools, as appropriate to the role, to facilitate inspection tasks and verify mechanical fit and function., • Communicate effectively with the management team, including production, engineering, and applications, regarding quality issues, specification concerns, and recommended corrective actions., • Identify quality trends, potential issues, and nonconformances, and participate in problem solving and root cause analysis as needed., • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on inspection findings and quality control processes.Essential Skills, • Demonstrated experience in quality assurance and quality control within a manufacturing or fabrication environment., • Ability to perform detailed inspections and accurately accept or reject work based on codes, specifications, and company standards., • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings., • Skilled in using hand tools, tape measures, and other basic measuring instruments for inspection., • Familiarity with inspection practices related to tube bending, pipe threading, and mechanical assemblies., • Strong technical capacity to understand production processes and how they relate to quality requirements., • Ability to prepare and maintain inspection reports and quality records in compliance with established procedures., • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills to identify quality issues and contribute to effective solutions., • Sound decision‑making skills when evaluating product conformity and determining disposition., • Effective communication skills to collaborate with production, engineering, applications, and quality management., • Ability to handle sensitive information and quality findings with discretion., • Commitment to following all safety procedures and regulations in a manufacturing environment.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience working in a production or fabrication shop environment with exposure to metalworking processes., • Familiarity with industry codes and standards relevant to inspection and quality assurance., • Experience supporting or working alongside a Quality Assurance Manager or quality team., • Competencies in performance management, including monitoring and supporting adherence to quality expectations., • Ability to work independently on assigned inspections while contributing effectively to a cross‑functional team., • Comfort using hand and power tools in support of inspection and verification activities.Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a non‑climate‑controlled manufacturing and fabrication environment. The weekend shift runs from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Friday through Sunday, where you work 36 hours and receive pay equivalent to 40 hours. The facility includes typical fabrication shop conditions with exposure to loud noises, dust, dirt, and metal particles. You use hand and power tools, measuring devices such as tape measures, and work around mechanical and production equipment. Required personal protective equipment includes hearing protection, safety glasses with side shields, and OSHA‑compliant safety boots, which must be worn at all times in designated areas. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sand Springs, OK. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
