General Manager – Global Product Supply Location: Based in UK with frequent international travel to APAC and EMEA regional facilities. Contract: Permanent Role Purpose The General Manager - Global Product Supply (GM) is accountable for leading Mayborn’s global end-to-end value chain, covering manufacturing operations, supply chain planning, purchasing, operations excellence management, new product implementation, and external ODM/OEM relationship program management. This role ensures world-class delivery across manufacturing, supply chains, procurement, and operational excellence into a single strategic function to deliver competitive advantage and sustainable growth. This role provides strategic and operational leadership to drive productivity, quality, sustainability, and resilience across internal plants and external manufacturing partnerships. The GM ensures that operational strategy aligns with corporate objectives, supports growth through innovation and new product introductions, and safeguards the company’s long-term competitiveness. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership • Define and execute the global operations strategy, covering manufacturing plants and operations, supply chains, procurement, manufacturing excellence (including quality, safety, ESG, productivity, manufacturing capabilities and resource optimisation) and external manufacturing partnerships (ODM/OEM)., • Build operational resilience and agility to enable sustainable growth, cost competitiveness, and margin delivery., • Champion operational transformation initiatives to unlock productivity, digitalisation, and advanced manufacturing capabilities., • Ensure alignment of operational strategy with corporate goals, new product development roadmaps, and market expansion requirements. Manufacturing & Plant Leadership • Provide executive leadership to all plant managers to ensure world-class standards in safety, quality, cost efficiency, and delivery., • Lead implementation of operational excellence frameworks across all plants, embedding continuous improvement culture and capability development., • Drive capital investment strategies and long-term footprint optimisation, balancing global efficiency with local competitiveness., • Partner with the New Product Implementation Project lead to ensure seamless integration of new product launches into the manufacturing and supply chain network. Supply Chain & Procurement • Oversee the end-to-end supply chain organisation, ensuring reliable, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of products to global markets., • Lead procurement and purchasing functions to drive strategic supplier partnerships, cost savings, and risk management., • Build strong partnerships with external manufacturers (ODM/OEM), ensuring quality, ethical compliance, and operational reliability., • Strengthen supply chain resilience, including risk mitigation for geopolitical, logistics, and sourcing vulnerabilities. Operational Excellence & ESG • Lead the Manufacturing Excellence function, covering quality assurance, safety, productivity, and capability development., • Drive ESG performance across operations, ensuring compliance with global standards and delivering measurable progress on sustainability goals., • Monitor and improve operational KPIs, including OTIF (on time in full), cost per unit, quality metrics, inventory turns, and productivity benchmarks. People Leadership • Lead, develop, and inspire a global operations leadership team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and innovation., • Build succession pipelines across manufacturing, supply chain, and procurement functions., • Promote a high-performance culture that prioritises safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Key Requirements: • Proven track record as a senior operations leader in FMCG consumer goods, durables, or related industries, with global or multi-region remit., • Senior experience leading manufacturing plants, supply chain organisations, and procurement functions., • Demonstrated success in operational transformation, driving step-changes in productivity, cost efficiency, and manufacturing capability., • Deep expertise in manufacturing excellence (quality, safety, lean/continuous improvement, ESG integration)., • Experience managing external manufacturing partnerships (ODM/OEM) alongside internal operations., • Strong financial acumen with accountability for large operational budgets, capital expenditure, and cost optimisation., • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and align diverse global teams., • Resilient, strategic, and pragmatic leader who balances day-to-day operational delivery with long-term capability building.
