    We are seeking an experienced Carer to join our team to provide high-quality care and support to clients in their own homes. The ideal candidate will have a background in assisted living, patient care, and senior support, with a strong focus on promoting independence and well-being. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals, supporting their daily needs with empathy and expertise. Please note: A full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle are essential for this role, as you will be travelling between clients' homes. Key Responsibilities: • Provide personal care with dignity and respect, • Support clients with daily living activities, • Provide specialised care for individuals with dementia, Alzhimer's disease, or other cognitive impairments, • Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment, • Assist with medication administration and reminders, • Prepare meals and supporting nutritional needs, • Provide companionship and emotional support, • Support clients with shopping, escort clients to appointments and community access where required, • Manage behaviour effectively through compassionate behaviour management strategies, • Maintain accurate care records and report any concerns to superviors promptly, • Promote independence and person-centred care Requirements: • Previous experience in a care or support worker role, • Up-to-date Mandatory Trainings Certificates, • Care Certificate desirable (if completed), • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, • Caring, patient, and professional attitude, • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, • Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively, • Reliable, trustworthy, and flexible, • Right to work in the UK, • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one), • Health and Social Care qualifications are desirable but not essential What We Offer: • Competitive rates of pay, • Flexible working hours, • Supportive management team, • Opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives If you are an experienced carer who enjoys helping others and are able to travel between clients' homes, we would love to hear from you.     Deaf Community Independence CIC (DCI) is a small non profit company supporting Deaf people lead active healthy lives, promoting independence, empowerment and reducing isolation. Location • Warwickshire, • Hinckley Hours • 10 - 20 hours per week - non contracted, • Can be flexible days each week to suit applicant and clients, • Possibility of hours increasing in the near future as the company grows Hourly rate • £13.00 - £13.50 Experience • Experience and /or an interest in supporting Deaf adults access the community, • Have an invested interest in supporting Deaf people’s independence Skills • Have an understanding of barriers within the Deaf community and be confident to challenge discrimination, • Can have a flexible attitude while supporting Deaf people within the community, • Be willing to accompany to health appointments, Council/benefit appointments etc (BSL interpreters will be present), • Have basic I.T knowledge, • To have an awareness of professional boundaries, • To be able to work closely with, and handover client information to other staff and DCI Directors, • Would need to be a British Sign Language user Personal attributes • Can use initiative and can ‘think outside the box', • Happy to undertake a DBS check, • To apply to ATW (if required), • Be patient and understanding, • Have an open mind, • Be a car owner and travel within the Warwickshire and Hinckley area, • To have a willingness to accompany Deaf adults on a day trip - museums, theme parks, zoo, tourist attractions Responsibilities • To meet Deaf clients in a variety of settings; their home, in the community, at an appointment, • Support clients with accessing services; health appointments, independent living skills, booking health appointments, ensuring clients are safe, raise complaints, • To enjoy your job.
