We connect homeowners with trusted builders and help renovations to run smoothly: on time, on budget, and to Beams’ high standard of finish. As a Build Adviser, you’ll be the bridge between our network of builders, our internal teams, and our homeowners. You’ll combine your construction knowledge with great organisation and coordination skills to make sure every project is delivered seamlessly, while also helping Beams improve our service. You’ll oversee multiple projects, complete site visits, and work closely with contractors to maintain quality and consistency. At the same time, you’ll shape how Beams scales its build operations: refining our playbook, supporting contractor onboarding, and contributing your insight to the tools and systems that make renovation better for everyone. What you'll be doing • Coordinate with internal teams to create detailed proposals, work orders, and project plans for sold renovations., • Oversee scheduling and delivery across multiple live sites, ensuring contractors have everything they need to succeed., • Conduct site visits to review progress, spot issues early, and maintain quality standards., • Act as the key point of contact for our builder network, keeping communication clear, proactive, and professional., • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to Beams’ standard of finish., • Help improve Beams’ operational systems: from refining our build playbook to testing and shaping our internal tools., • Support the growth of our trusted builder network by helping onboard new partners and sharing best practices., • Contribute to project handovers, snag lists, and quality sign-offs to ensure every renovation meets Beams’ standard. What you'll bring Essential: • Proven experience delivering residential renovations from planning to completion., • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulatory standards., • Skilled at building strong relationships with contractors and clients., • Confident working on-site: identifying issues, reviewing build quality, and resolving queries., • Able to read and interpret construction drawings and site conditions., • Excellent communication skills: clear, professional, and proactive with clients and contractors., • Strong organisational and time management skills; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously., • Comfortable with tools like Google Sheets or Excel for planning and tracking., • Attention to detail and a strong commitment to high standards of quality. Desirable: • A personal interest in sustainability and making greener choices in construction., • Background in architecture or design is a plus.
