FP&A Business Partner SME Environment | South East based Hybrid working, with ~1 day per week in a South East office An opportunity has arisen for an FP&A Business Partner to join a growing, project-led business in a highly visible, commercially focused role. This isn’t a “sit in the background and report numbers” type of job. It’s for someone who wants to be in the room, influencing decisions, challenging thinking, and helping shape the direction of the business. At its core, this role sits right at the intersection of finance and operations, turning data into insight, and insight into action. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, getting under the skin of performance and helping drive better outcomes across a multi-entity, fast-moving environment. The role includes: • Acting as a trusted finance partner to operational, sales, and delivery teams, • Preparing and maintaining financial models, budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans, • Analyzing project and contract profitability, including job costing, margins, and WIP, • Developing, monitoring, and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs), highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities, • Supporting pricing, costing, and tender reviews for security installation and maintenance contracts, • Providing variance analysis against budget and forecast with clear commentary and recommendations, • Supporting cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and billing cadence, • Assisting with month-end close activities, ensuring accurate accruals and financial reporting, • Improving financial processes, controls, and reporting tools, • Translating financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders, • Supporting ad hoc analysis and business cases for investment, growth, or efficiency initiatives, • Partnering closely with the Head of HR (EMEA, APAC, LATAM) in support of the smooth operation of the business This is a hands-on role, you’ll need to be comfortable rolling your sleeves up while also thinking commercially and strategically. What we’re looking for: • Around 5 years’ experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or business partnering, • Strong stakeholder skills, able to influence, challenge, and build credibility, • Experience in multi-entity or complex environments, • Experience supporting European operations, • Comfortable in a evolving SME setting, • A self-starter with energy, drive, and a willingness to get stuck in, • Resilient and able to operate at pace, • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail, • Professional qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) preferred The details: • UK-based, ideally commutable distance to St Albans., • Hybrid working, with ~1 day per week in a South East office, • High exposure to senior leadership, • Reporting into senior finance/leadership (TBC) Package (indicative): • £75,000 – £95,000 base DOE, • Car allowance, • Bonus + benefits This role suits someone who wants real impact, real exposure, and real responsibility, without losing the hands-on element that makes the job rewarding.
