The Opportunity We are looking for a motivated and detail-focused Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our Finance team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership, improving processes, and working within a fast-paced SME environment. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the purchase ledger function, ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately and payments are made efficiently. Working closely with suppliers and colleagues across the business, you'll play an important role in supporting the wider finance function while helping to improve the Purchase-to-Pay process as the business continues to grow. We're a fast-paced, growing business, so this role suits someone who is proactive, organised, and comfortable taking responsibility for their workload. Key Responsibilities • Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently, • Match, batch and code invoices, • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies, • Prepare supplier payment runs, • Handle supplier queries via phone and email, • Set up and maintain supplier accounts, • Cross-reference approved purchase orders, • Support cashflow forecasting activities, • Assist with month-end purchase ledger procedures, • Complete bank reconciliations and general finance administration, • Collaborate with colleagues across the business to resolve issues and improve processes, • Support the wider Finance team with ad-hoc tasks and project work About You Essential • Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger, Accounts Payable, or similar finance role, • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, • Good Excel and IT skills, • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities, • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, • Ability to work independently and as part of a team Desirable • Experience working within an SME environment, • Experience using accounting software such as Xero, • Understanding of VAT on supplier invoices, • Experience using AI tools to improve efficiency or reporting, • AAT studies or an interest in progressing finance qualifications Why Join Superior Wellness?
