Nottingham City Centre (On-site) | £43,000 - £49,000 P/A with excellent benefits | Permanent \n This is a genuinely pivotal role within a high-performing and supportive HR team at the heart of a vibrant, fast-paced education environment. \n As HR Business Partner, you will be the go-to expert for employee relations, providing trusted, pragmatic advice to managers while ensuring a consistent, high-quality HR service across a diverse workforce of over 300 staff, with an even wider community including volunteers, coaches, and governors. \n This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days look the same. From complex casework to coaching leaders, shaping policy, and contributing to engagement initiatives, you will play a key part in driving a positive, compliant and people-focused culture. \n \n What You Will Be Doing \n Employee Relations and Advisory \n\n • Managing a varied employee relations caseload including long-term absence, disciplinaries, grievances, flexible working and performance matters\n, • Providing clear, consistent advice in line with employment law and best practice\n, • Supporting sensitive and complex cases with professionalism and integrity\n\n Coaching and Stakeholder Support \n\n • Building strong relationships with line managers across the organisation\n, • Coaching and empowering leaders to confidently manage people issues\n, • Supporting senior recruitment processes, including panel interviews\n\n Policy and Compliance \n\n • Owning and developing HR policies, ensuring they remain compliant and up to date\n, • Supporting safeguarding-related policies and compliance requirements\n, • Playing a key role in maintaining robust HR standards across all staff and associated groups\n\n People Experience and Engagement \n\n • Supporting employee engagement initiatives, including the annual staff survey\n, • Helping to shape a positive and inclusive working environment\n, • Overseeing employee benefits and contributing ideas to enhance the employee experience\n\n HR Operations and Data \n\n • Maintaining accurate HR records and supporting payroll changes\n, • Producing meaningful HR data and insights to inform decision-making\n, • Supporting recruitment activities where needed\n\n What We Are Looking For \n\n • CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent\n, • Proven experience managing end-to-end employee relations casework\n, • Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice\n, • Confident communicator with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels\n, • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail\n, • Comfortable working in a structured, compliance-focused environment\n\n Experience in education is not essential.
