We are seeking a Senior Solutions Strategist in London to design and commercialise bespoke pension and wealth solutions for UK institutional and intermediary clients. This is a front-office investment solutions role combining deep UK pensions expertise, practical portfolio design capability, and client-facing engagement. The successful candidate will translate complex retirement needs into scalable, investable solutions across DC pensions, private wealth, and intermediary platforms. This role suits a highly motivated self-starter who is comfortable operating at the intersection of investment strategy, client engagement, and product innovation. Role Overview The Senior Solutions Strategist will play a central role across the full client lifecycle: • Sales engagement (pre-mandate):, • Partner with distribution and institutional teams to engage early with clients, attend meetings, and design tailored investment solutions using the firm’s capabilities., • Mandate onboarding:, • Coordinate across Solutions Portfolio Managers, Legal, Compliance, Client Service, Reporting, and Marketing to ensure smooth implementation of new mandates (coordination role, not formal project management)., • Post-sale ownership:, • Act as the investment solutions lead for client-facing retirement content, including glidepaths, benchmarks, and ongoing portfolio evolution. Represent the investment view in client discussions and bring in internal specialists where required. Key Responsibilities • Design and advise on bespoke UK pension and wealth mandates, aligning solutions to client objectives, regulation, and market conditions, • Lead the translation of client requirements into implementable investment structures across public markets, private assets, and ESG-integrated strategies, • Drive innovation in retirement solutions in response to market, regulatory, and structural pension changes, • Maintain deep expertise across:, • UK workplace pensions (DC), • Private pensions and retirement income design, • CDC frameworks, • UK insurance and bulk annuity markets, • Adviser and intermediary platforms, • Act as the primary investment solutions contact for UK sales and distribution partners, • Collaborate closely with portfolio managers, risk, product, and research teams to ensure feasibility and scalability of solutions, • Contribute to thought leadership, research, and product innovation, particularly in retirement, liability-driven investing, ESG, and private markets, • Lead refinement and enhancement of existing mandates over time, • Mentor junior team members and contribute to team capability building, • Where relevant, integrate technology and analytics into retirement solution design in collaboration with internal teams Required Experience & Skills • 10+ years’ experience in pension solutions, retirement strategy, OCIO, or wealth/investment solutions roles within asset management, consulting, or pension funds, • Proven track record designing complex UK pension mandates, particularly workplace DC and/or retirement income solutions, • Strong understanding of:, • UK pensions landscape, • CDC structures, • Insurance / bulk annuity market dynamics, • Experience engaging with sophisticated stakeholders including:, • pension trustees, • corporates, • IFAs and intermediary platforms, • Strong technical investment knowledge across multi-asset portfolios, public and private markets, and ESG integration, • Ability to translate technical investment concepts into clear, client-ready communication, • Commercial mindset with ability to develop scalable solutions across global investment platforms, • Strong collaboration skills across investment, product, and distribution teams
