About this opportunity… We are now looking for an experienced Senior Technician to join our Volvo dealership in Doncaster, with a clear pathway to progress to Master Technician through training, development, and proven ability. Already a Master Technician? We’d love to hear from you! This role is equally suited to an established Master Technician seeking a new challenge in a supportive, forward-thinking dealership. You can find out more about ___ As a key member of our team, you will ensure the efficient, effective and advanced diagnostics, maintenance and repairs, while supporting and mentoring other technicians. Depending on your level of experience, you will either: • Step into the role as a Master Technician, taking the lead on the most complex work, OR Key Responsibilities: • Perform advanced diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs across mechanical, electrical and electronic systems, • Troubleshoot challenging faults using manufacturer-approved tools, software, and technical data, • Keep up to date with manufacturer updates, emerging technologies, and EV/ADAS systems, • Mentor and support junior technicians and apprentices, sharing knowledge and best practices, • Ensure all work meets group and manufacturer standards, health and safety regulations, and workshop quality benchmarks, • Accurately maintain records of work carried out and communicate effectively with the wider team, • Contribute to workshop efficiency, decision-making, and technical problem-solving What you’ll bring… • Level 3 IMI qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent), • Proven experience in diagnostics and complex repair work, • Strong knowledge of modern vehicle systems, including electrical and electronic, • Ability to follow manufacturer repair procedures and deliver consistently high-quality workmanship, • Strong mentoring, leadership, and problem-solving skills, • Excellent communication, both written and verbal, • A commitment to continuous learning and development, • MOT licence, • EV/Hybrid training or certification, • OEM/manufacturer training accreditations What’s in it for you… • Continued training and development, • Staff discounts, • Bonus, • Sick pay, • Company pension, • Prestige workspace, • Refer a Friend, • Recognition initiatives, • Cycle to Work, • Career opportunities across the Group Volvo’s Retailers welcome applications from candidates of any background who have relevant repair, maintenance, and servicing vehicles experience, including those from other industries who have transferable skills and competencies.
