Day-to-day of the role: • Conduct quality checks on a sample of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction assessments to ensure they meet accuracy and legislative standards., • Review calculations and verify supporting documentation such as payslips and pension information., • Identify discrepancies or areas for improvement in the assessments., • Produce reports to support performance monitoring and maintain high standards across the service., • Work independently within a small, supportive team. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Experience in Revenue and Benefits or Housing Benefits, ideally within a local authority setting., • Strong understanding of benefits legislation and assessment processes., • Proficiency in using systems such as NEC or Northgate., • High level of accuracy and attention to detail., • Confidence in interpreting financial information., • Applicants with solid technical knowledge are encouraged to apply, even if they do not meet every requirement.
