Thats why were looking for an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager who can bring operational excellence, creative input, and heartfelt hospitality to the table. We are creating a team for our new opening at The Zetter Bloomsbury and looking for more charming people to join us. The Role As Assistant Food & Beverage Manager, youll help coordinate the F&B operation across our parlour, and lounge areas. Youll ensure the highest standards of quality, creativity, and service making sure every guest interaction, from breakfast to a late-night nightcap, reflects The Zetters charm and character. Youll combine guidance from the Food & Beverage Manager with your hands-on leadership and operational oversight to guide teams to deliver outstanding food, drink, and guest experiences while supporting commercial success. Bar Operations: Taking day to day ownership of the Parlour experience from top to bottom. Everything guest facing is within the remit of the role. Work alongside the bar team to ensure consistent standards of service, engagement, and quality day to day. Oversee event organization, including room setups, audio/visual equipment, catering services, and other event-related needs. Coordinate with the kitchen and FOH to ensure smooth service delivery day to day. Take responsibility and empower others to go above and beyond in pursuit of an unforgettable experience. Staff Supervision & Leadership: Assist the F&B Manager in leading and supervising the F&B team, ensuring the team are trained, prepared, and perform according to the highest standards. Provide guidance and support to team members, liaising with the People team when necessary. Conduct regular team briefings before each shift to ensure all staff are aware of bookings, VIPS, special events and new menu items. Lead by example in maintaining high service standards and professionalism. Guest Relations: Provide exceptional guest service, ensuring that all guests to the hotel have their needs met in a timely, friendly, and courteous manner. Address any guest concerns or complaints promptly, ensuring a positive resolution while maintaining a calm and professional demeanour. Foster a welcoming atmosphere, anticipating guest needs and delivering exceptional service. Event Planning & Coordination: Assist the event planning team with event preparation, from pre-event coordination through to on-site execution. Help ensure that all event details are properly communicated to staff, including timing, guest preferences, and any special requests. Deploy the team and equipment needed for each event. Support the Event lead in maintaining event timelines and schedules. Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that all operations are compliant with health, safety, fire, and security regulations. Ensure all emergency procedures are followed during events, and staff are properly trained in emergency protocols. Technology & Systems: Learn, understand, and use our booking software, responding to guest enquiries promptly and work alongside the F&B Manager and team to enable activations and special offers. Ensure staff are proficient with role-related technologies, such as AV equipment, POS, PDQ and booking platforms. Write or oversee end of night reporting. Training & Development: Assist with training event staff, ensuring they understand the standards and expectations for service. Always promote a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the event team taking direction from the F&B Manager.
