The work generally involves inputting to projects passing through the planning system with the provision of access appraisals, feasibility studies, transport assessments and statements, travel plans, traffic engineering, construction traffic management plans, preliminary design of infrastructure and discharge of planning condition services.The primary role of a Senior Consultant/Senior Engineer is to utilise their depth of experience to efficiently and comprehensively support the safe delivery of work packages, projects and proposal development, primarily across the Development Planning team/sector but working collaboratively across teams and projects as required.Missions/Main DutiesProactively support the delivery of projects of varying scales for a range of systra teams and clients, as requiredEnsure the delivery of complex tasks to quality, time and budgetInterpret and integrate complex technical information from a number of sources and accurately present conclusionsRegularly and effectively guide less experienced colleagues on the delivery of technical and professional tasksMaintain an accurate record of skills and experience in SYSTRA CV and update as requiredMaintain professional membership of relevant professional institutionEffectively develop and maintain relationships with client contactsInitiate sales opportunities within own market areas, sharing insights with relevant colleagues to maximise business development opportunitiesDemonstrate high-intermediate knowledge in the application of a broad range of methods, techniques and toolsDevelop new tools and techniques in relevant work areas to improve quality and/or effciencyTakes responsibility for substantial proportions of SYSTRA reportsEffectively communicate information to internal and external stakeholders to support successful project delivery and business developmentPresent technical/project information as required to support the development of colleagues and inform clientsDemonstrate behaviours aligned with SYSTRA’s behavioural framework by actively fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, respect, and empowerment, contributing to an environment where all colleagues can thrive, achieve and grow togetherProfile/SkillsSignificant work experience in a relevant technical discipline or disciplinesEffective written & verbal communication of complex messagesEffectively analyse complex data and report on findingsEffective time management of self and othersAdaptable to undertake a range of complex tasks to meet varying project requirementsStrong working knowledge of software packages relevant to technical discipline (s)Relevant Qualification - degree level or equivalent experience.knowledge of relevant software packages - Junctions, Linsig, TEMPRO etcMaking substantial progress towards Chartership or relevant Professional MembershipWorkplace TypeHybridJob SummaryContract Type: PermanentJob Family: JF037_Consultancy - Advisory
