About the role As an SEN Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential. You may be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including: Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) ADHD Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) Complex learning needs Social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) Physical and sensory needs * Profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) You will work closely with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals to provide tailored support, promote independence and create a positive and inclusive learning environment. We are looking for candidates who: Have previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN. Are patient, caring, resilient and empathetic. Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff. Understand the importance of individualised support. Have excellent communication and teamwork skills. Are confident supporting pupils with challenging or complex needs. * Are passionate about helping every child achieve their potential. Relevant qualifications and training are desirable, but experience, attitude and a genuine passion for SEN support are equally important. Who are Aspire People?
