The process is heavily exception based, requiring an aptitude to optimize the tools and systems provided. Rely on experience, judgment and good organizational skills to plan and accomplish position objectives, including problem resolution and procedure compliance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Performs data entry of vendor invoices., • Responsible for maintaining the filing system for all accounts payable related documents., • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end activities in the AP environment., • Investigate discrepancies that vendors or purchasing agents have with obtaining payment for invoices., • Charging expenses to appropriate accounts and cost centers., • Responds to vendor and employee inquiries regarding invoices, expenses, and check requests., • Assists with reconciling account transactions with the general ledger and bank statement reconciliations., • Keeping up to date with regulatory requirements and best practices in accounting., • Assist the department with answering any accounts payable questions and vendor issues as needed., • Education Requirements:, • High School diploma or equivalent; associates degree in account or related field strongly preferred, • Experience Requirements, • 3 years of experience in accounting, accounts payable, finance, bookkeeping, and/or related fields., • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, • Ability to work independently and as part of a team., • Detailed-oriented, highly organized and results driven., • Ability to apply complex analytical and critical thinking skills., • Self-motivated and effectively time manage to prioritize responsibilities., • Physical & Social Setting:, • Hybrid: A mix of office and remote work., • Work Conditions:, • Requires remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time, and frequent communication., • You must be able to move and operate computers and other office equipment., • Legal authorization to work in the US is required.
