Job Description CBIZ Talent Solutions is assisting our privately held manufacturing client with their search for a Full-Charge Bookkeeper. Position Summary The Full-Charge Bookkeeper owns the day-to-day accounting and the monthly close from start to finish. This role handles all core accounting functions (A/P, A/R, payroll processing coordination, bank reconciliations, inventory accounting, fixed assets, and general ledger), prepares timely financial statements and management reports, and partners with operations to ensure accurate costing and inventory integrity. Key Responsibilities • General Accounting and Close, • Manage the full accounting cycle and produce monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) within established timelines., • Post and reconcile all subledgers to the GL; maintain chart of accounts and dimensions., • Prepare journal entries, accruals, deferrals, and reclasses; maintain supporting schedules., • Perform bank, credit card, and loan reconciliations; manage intercompany entries (if applicable)., • Maintain cash forecast and daily cash positioning., • Accounts Payable (A/P), • Oversee 3-way match (PO, receipt, invoice) and timely vendor payments., • Manage vendor setup, W-9 collection, and annual 1099-NEC/MISC filings., • Monitor purchase price variances and AP aging; resolve discrepancies., • Accounts Receivable (A/R) and Credit, • Process customer invoicing (SOP in GP) and cash application., • Manage AR aging, credit limits, and collections to targeted DSO metrics., • Coordinate with sales/operations on deductions, returns, and disputes., • Inventory and Cost Accounting (Manufacturing), • Partner with operations to maintain inventory accuracy, including cycle counts and adjustments., • Reconcile inventory subledger to GL; analyze and resolve variances (PPV, usage, scrap)., • Support standard cost updates, BOM/routing impacts, and manufacturing/WIP transactions., • Assist in costing new products and analyzing margin by SKU/customer., • Payroll and HR Support, • Administer or coordinate payroll with an external provider (e.g., ADP/Paychex), including timekeeping review, deductions, and benefits changes., • Ensure payroll GL posting accuracy; maintain confidentiality and compliance with wage and hour rules. Qualifications • Experience, • 5+ years of full-charge bookkeeping or staff accountant experience, ideally in a small or midsize manufacturing environment., • 2+ years working in Microsoft Dynamics GP (Receivables, Payables, GL, Bank Rec; Inventory and SOP/POP required; Manufacturing module experience is a plus)., • Hands-on monthly close responsibility and preparation of full financial statements., • Education and Credentials, • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered., • Certifications a plus (e.g., CMA, CB/CPB). CPA not required., • Technical Skills, • Strong proficiency in Dynamics GP, • Intermediate Excel skills, • Soft Skills, • High attention to detail, accuracy, and ownership mindset., • Strong communication and partnership with operations, sales, vendors, and customers., • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and streamline processes in a small-team environment., • Discretion with sensitive financial and payroll information.
