Job Description Corporate Attorney – Manufacturing (Hybrid) A large scale North American manufacturing company is seeking a skilled and business‐minded Corporate Attorney to join its legal team. This role works closely with the General Counsel and partners across operations, safety, procurement, HR, and compliance. This is a high‐impact, hands‐on position ideal for an attorney who enjoys fast‐moving transactional work, solving problems for internal clients, and being embedded in the day‐to‐day rhythm of a manufacturing organization. The role offers meaningful responsibility, visibility, and a clear path for growth. About the Role The Corporate Attorney will manage a broad portfolio of legal work with a strong emphasis on contracts, compliance, ethics, and operational support. This is a great fit for someone who spent a few years in a law firm and then moved in‐house, especially within manufacturing or industrial operations. The ideal candidate is self‐directed, organized, digitally savvy, and comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with cross‐functional teams. Key Responsibilities Commercial Contracts & Transactions • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including supply, vendor, customer, logistics, equipment, and service contracts., • Partner with procurement and operations teams to support business initiatives and manage contract risk., • Manage the company’s ethics and compliance hotline for a 1,000+ employee workforce., • Conduct internal reviews and coordinate follow‐up actions., • Maintain and update the Code of Conduct, compliance policies, and training materials., • Assist with matters involving EPA, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies., • Support environmental, health, and safety teams with audits, inspections, reporting, and corrective actions., • Work closely with operations leadership, plant managers, safety managers, and HR on day‐to‐day legal needs., • Provide clear, actionable guidance to non‐legal stakeholders., • Support corporate governance, including maintaining corporate records and entity documentation., • Help modernize digital record‐keeping and compliance systems. Qualifications Required • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; active bar license in good standing., • 5–10 years of legal experience, including:, • Ideally 2–3 years in a law firm, and, • In‐house experience in manufacturing, industrials, or a similar operational environment., • Strong background in contract drafting and negotiation., • Experience with ethics & compliance, policy development, and investigations., • Familiarity with EPA, OSHA, and regulatory compliance., • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with operations teams., • High digital fluency and comfort with modern document management systems., • Experience supporting multi‐site manufacturing operations., • Background in environmental, safety, or employment‐related compliance., • Experience improving or building compliance programs.
