Position We’re looking for a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Manufacturing Production Associate to join our production team. This position reports to the Production Manager and is a full-time, onsite, non-supervisory position. Responsibilities • Apply finishes to wood siding with production machinery and equipment., • Inspect boards for imperfections, blemishes, and damage., • Pack or bundle wood siding., • Use a forklift to move materials in a warehouse., • Use power and pneumatic tools to build pallets and crates., • Accurately record environmental conditions and material specifications job orders., • Perform basic carpentry projects., • Perform general warehouse maintenance, organizing, and clean-up., • Follow company safety policies., • Perform other duties and special projects assigned by the Production Manager and management team. Required Qualifications • 18 years or older., • High school diploma or equivalent work experience, • 2+ years of relevant work experience (manufacturing, warehousing, production, construction, carpentry, painting, landscaping, etc), • Experience working with a small team, • Proven work history of punctuality and attendance, • Handle materials, perform quality checks, and maintain accurate records, • Maintain a clean and organized work area., • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals., • Ability to move to different lines and responsibilities., • Ability to learn and perform repetitive job tasks., • Able to safely work with and around moving equipment., • Ability to learn and rotate to three (3) or more different responsibilities and/or positions., • Operate equipment/tools that require close control, adjustment, and following production orders., • Comply with safety, quality, and production requirements and procedures., • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job., • Familiarity with basic power tools, • Ability to read a tape measure down to 1/16”., • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Preferred Experience • Carpentry, construction, building materials, and/or building industry experience, • Prior forklift experience, • Experience with pneumatic tools Hours 6am to 3pm Monday through Friday. This is not a remote position. Location Northeast Portland near the airport. Physical Requirements • Physical Requirements, • Ability to stand or walk for 2 continuous hours while performing duties., • Ability to wear safety capped footwear., • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform work, • Ability to operate basic woodworking tools, up to 25 pounds., • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds and heavier weights with the proper equipment., • Ability to perform repetitive motions with upper body including arms and shoulders. Work Environment • Heated warehouse with mid-range temperature variations., • Moderate noise level, • Exposure to low level Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) in water and oil finishes. Starting Wage $22.00 to $25.00 per hour depending on experience.
