Job Description It’s easy to go to work when you’re making someone’s day. Every day. This position requires you to be a Certified HHA or you must have a CNA license. Providing a helping hand, such as: • Engage in fun, meaningful conversations with clients to build strong, trusting relationships, • Provide timely medication reminders, • Participate in your clients’ favorite hobbies (scrap booking, gardening, games, etc.), • Plan and prepare enjoyable, nutritious meals, • Accompany seniors on errands and outings, • Light Housekeeping, • Laundry & linen changing, • Assist with apparel selection, including laying out clothing, • Assist your clients with walking, dressing, transportation and other daily activities of living, • Report what activities were completed with your clients and provide updates on your clients’ physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior, • Document completed activities and provide updates on clients’ physical condition, cognitive status, and behavior in the Care Plan Book daily (if applicable)., • Record daily hours worked and daily services performed on the Weekly Time Sheet and Service Log, review with client and submit the signed form every Monday by 5:00 pm., • Report any significant client changes to the office immediately., • Follow all policies and procedures as outlined in the Senior Helpers Employee Handbook and Training Manual., • Prepare sleeping area at night, • Assist client as requested during the course of the night; let office know if this is requested more than twice a night, • Great Place to Work® Certified, • Professional Growth Opportunities—we provide training opportunities to our caregivers to grow their skills as a caregiver and as a professional., • Work/Life Balance—we understand the need for a healthy balance of your professional and personal life., • Team Support—we believe that a strong team that gives support is the best way to succeed long term., • Flexible Schedule—we understand that you may need flexibility to align with your lifestyle and schedule, so we work with our caregivers to fit their schedule to their availability., • HHA Certification, • CNA License (Active), • CPR License (Active), • Car Insurance (Active), • Must be 18 years of age or older, • Ability to lift more than 25 pounds, • Vehicle Preferred, will not disqualify if N/A, • Must possess a valid social security number, • Ability to treat clients with dignity and respect, • Ability to be flexible and adapt to new situations, • Complete any required health screenings as required, • Valid driver’s license with no serious driving violations, • Ability to drive or use public transportation to get to work, • Comfortable communicating with clients, providing directives, • Ability to read, write and speak English at an average adult level, • Pass a criminal background check prior to employment with Senior Helpers, • A desire to support your community and make a meaningful impact in someone’s life An independently owned and Veteran-Operated franchisee of SH Franchising, LLC DBA Senior Helpers®.
