Job DescriptionProject Manager - Commercial Construction Project Manager - Commercial Construction Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. The ideal candidate will own schedule, budget, quality, and client communication for a variety of commercial scopes including retail, small-box and big-box stores, restaurants, multifamily, and worship facilities. This role requires strong construction experience, proven leadership, and the ability to manage negotiated work and subcontractor relationships while delivering projects on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities • Lead full lifecycle management of commercial construction projects including preconstruction, procurement, scheduling, construction, commissioning, and closeout., • Develop, manage, and maintain project schedules and budgets; identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to protect project margins., • Prepare and manage scopes of work, change orders, and contract documents for negotiated projects; coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors., • Direct and supervise subcontractors and onsite teams to ensure quality control, safety compliance, and adherence to project specifications., • Serve as the primary client contact, providing regular status updates, resolving issues promptly, and fostering strong client relationships to encourage repeat business., • Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings; document progress, decisions, and action items in project records., • Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and services; manage lead times and logistics to prevent delays., • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, permitting, and building code requirements; coordinate inspections and approvals., • Implement and enforce company safety policies and procedures; ensure the jobsite maintains high safety standards., • Mentor and support junior project staff, providing guidance on field operations, estimating, and best practices.Qualifications, • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered., • Minimum 58 years of project management experience in commercial construction with demonstrated success on retail, small-box, big-box, restaurant, multifamily, or worship projects., • Proven experience managing negotiated work and coordinating subcontractor scopes and change orders., • Strong understanding of construction means and methods, scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent), and project cost control practices., • Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and maintain professional relationships., • Experience with construction documentation, quality control, permitting, and inspections., • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budget targets., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction management platforms; experience with estimating software a plus., • OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred; current drivers license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed. • Competitive base + bonus, • Medical and Dental Benefits, • 401K with company match, • PTO + Vacation + Sick time, • For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
