Amarillo is a top destination for Texas nursing jobs, known for its welcoming community, vibrant arts scene, and proximity to Palo Duro Canyon State Park.\n \n\nTexas Healthcare Job Details\n\n • Location: Amarillo, TX 79106\n, • Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)\n, • Healthcare Setting: Hospital Operating Room\n, • Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: December 22, 2025 – End: March 23, 2026)\n, • Nursing Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts/week (07:00 - 17:30)\n, • Weekly Hours: 40\n, • Estimated Weekly Pay: $2020 - $2070\n, • On-Call: Rotating call days required\n, • Scrubs: Provided\n, • Equipment: Pyxis, EPIC EMR\n\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n\n, • Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience required\n, • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state\n, • BLS certification required\n, • Experience with Epic EMR preferred\n, • Ability to circulate and scrub in the operating room\n, • Fluency in English required\n, • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility\n, • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills\n\n\nOR RN Responsibilities\n\n, • Provide safe, effective perioperative nursing care for surgical patients\n, • Circulate and scrub for surgical cases including General, Orthopedics, Urology, Endoscopy/Laparoscopic, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Plastics, Podiatry, Transplant, and Gynecology\n, • Preferred experience in Vascular, Thoracic, Bariatric, and ENT surgeries\n, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams such as Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and clinical support staff\n, • Participate in rotating on-call schedule\n, • Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR\n We believe in empowering your career.
