Job Description Overview This is the job description for a Lead Process Mechanical Engineer to spearhead the design and development of process mechanical systems for water and wastewater treatment facilities. This role involves leading technical deliverables from concept through final design, ensuring integration of process requirements with robust mechanical solutions. Key Responsibilities 1. Technical Design Leadership • Lead the comprehensive development of water and wastewater treatment process and plant designs, focusing specifically on the mechanical implementation of the process., • Drive process equipment sizing and selection, including pumps, mixers, tanks, valves, and other mechanical unit operations, ensuring compliance with specified process requirements., • Perform and review hydraulics calculations for treatment facilities to optimize pumping, piping, and open-channel flow efficiency., • Lead the generation of core documentation, including Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), and detailed project specifications and equipment data sheets for mechanical equipment and systems. 2.
