Role Description This is a full-time, in-office inside sales position focused on selling entertainment and event services. It is not a retail sales position, and it is not eligible for remote or hybrid work. You will communicate with customers primarily by phone, email, and text to convert inbound inquiries and warm leads into confirmed bookings. You will ask questions to understand each customer’s event, recommend the right entertainment services and packages, explain pricing and options, overcome objections, follow up consistently, and close sales. Most customers will be parents planning children’s birthday parties, but you may also work with businesses, schools, libraries, municipalities, charities, venues, churches, and professional event planners. This role is performed in our Auburn Hills office because it requires close, real-time coordination with our sales, scheduling, operations, performer, and management teams. You will be expected to develop a strong working knowledge of our extensive entertainment lineup, packages, service areas, policies, scheduling requirements, and availability. What You’ll Do • Respond promptly to inbound phone calls, emails, text messages, and online inquiries, • Own the sales process from the initial inquiry through the confirmed booking, • Speak confidently with parents, event planners, school representatives, and business clients, • Ask thoughtful questions to understand each customer’s event, needs, budget, and expectations, • Recommend appropriate characters, entertainment services, packages, add-ons, and event formats, • Clearly explain pricing, booking requirements, availability, policies, and next steps, • Prepare quotes and follow up consistently with customers who have not yet booked, • Overcome common objections and confidently ask customers for the sale, • Manage leads, customer information, follow-up activity, and booking details within our CRM and sales systems, • Coordinate with scheduling and operations to confirm performers, costumes, equipment, service areas, and available time slots, • Process booking fees and customer payments and provide accurate booking confirmations, • Cross-sell and upsell additional entertainment services when they improve the customer’s event, • Build trust-based relationships that encourage repeat bookings, referrals, and positive reviews, • Help resolve customer questions and concerns promptly and professionally, • Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge, • Track sales activity, response times, conversion rates, average booking value, and other performance indicators, • Reconnect with past customers and nurture future event opportunities, • Assist with outreach to businesses, schools, libraries, venues, municipalities, and community organizations, • Partner with marketing and management on promotions, sales scripts, campaigns, and ideas for improving lead conversion, • Provide feedback about common customer questions, requested services, market trends, and new sales opportunitiesRequired Qualifications, • Proven experience in phone sales, inside sales, service sales, or a similar sales-focused role, • Demonstrated ability to guide leads through the sales process and close business, • Strong verbal communication skills and a confident, professional telephone presence, • Excellent listening, discovery, presentation, and objection-handling skills, • A friendly, energetic, and positive personality, • Strong customer-service instincts and the ability to build trust quickly, • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable being measured against sales expectations, • Highly organized and consistent with follow-up, • Ability to manage multiple conversations, quotes, appointments, and booking details at the same time, • Comfortable learning and discussing a large catalog of entertainment services, • Technologically capable and comfortable working with CRM software, email, text messaging, online booking systems, and point-of-sale systems, • Ability to remain composed under pressure and address customer concerns professionally, • Reliable attendance and the ability to work from our Auburn Hills office, • Availability to work a full-time schedule, including some early evening or weekend coverage when scheduled, • High school diploma or equivalentPreferred Qualifications, • Corporate or business-to-business sales experience, • Experience selling to HR departments, office managers, schools, libraries, municipalities, venues, or event planners, • Event sales, entertainment sales, hospitality sales, venue sales, or party-service experience, • A proven record of meeting or exceeding monthly or quarterly sales goals, • Experience selling services rather than physical retail products, • Familiarity with children’s entertainment, family events, and popular character universes, • Experience preparing sales reports or tracking sales performance, • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related fieldCompensation and Schedule, • Starting Pay: $20–$25 per hour, based on experience, communication ability, and demonstrated sales skills, • Employment Type: Full-time, • Work Location: Fairytale Entertainment’s Auburn Hills, Michigan office, • Work Arrangement: Fully on-site;
