Job Description MAG Childcare and Learning Center Job Description Lead Toddler Teacher (Ages 2.5–4 Years) Position Title: Lead Toddler Teacher Reports To: Director/Administrator Position Summary MAG Childcare and Learning Center is seeking an energetic, compassionate, dependable, and professional Lead Toddler Teacher who is passionate about early childhood education. The Lead Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, loving, educational, and nurturing classroom where every child feels welcomed, valued, respected, and included. The ideal candidate must be bilingual (English/Spanish), have excellent classroom management skills, enjoy working with toddlers, and understand that cleanliness, organization, and teamwork are essential parts of the position. Essential Qualifications Required ✔ Experience working with children ages 21⁄2–4 years ✔ Ability to create and implement weekly lesson plans ✔ Fluent in both English and Spanish (Required) ✔ Excellent communication skills ✔ CPR/First Aid Certification (or willing to obtain) ✔ Reliable transportation ✔ Professional appearance and attitude ✔ Must pass all required background checks Core Responsibilities Classroom Instruction • Develop engaging weekly lesson plans aligned with state licensing standards., • Teach age-appropriate academic concepts., • Introduce Spanish daily through songs, conversation, books, games, and classroom activities., • Encourage language development., • Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth., • Promote independence while providing guidance. Child Care Responsibilities Changing diapers and assisting with toileting is REQUIRED. This position requires staff to: • Change diapers promptly and hygienically., • Assist with potty training., • Maintain proper sanitation procedures., • Wash hands according to licensing standards., • Document diaper changes when required., • Monitor children's health and comfort throughout the day. Classroom Environment Maintain a classroom that is: • Safe, • Organized, • Clean, • Inviting, • Educational, • Stimulating Decorate according to current learning themes. Rotate classroom materials regularly. Maintain learning centers. Ensure toys and materials are sanitized daily. Cleaning Responsibilities (REQUIRED) Cleaning is a required part of every teacher's job. Lead Teachers are expected to: • Sanitize toys throughout the day., • Clean tables before and after meals., • Sweep floors., • Mop floors daily., • Disinfect bathrooms., • Sanitize diaper changing stations after every use., • Clean sinks and countertops., • Empty trash., • Organize shelves., • Wash classroom equipment as needed., • Keep classroom free of clutter., • Help maintain the overall cleanliness of the center. Experience • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with children ages 21⁄2–4 years in a licensed childcare or preschool setting., • Previous experience as a Lead Teacher is preferred.
