Job DescriptionSalary: Compensation for this position will be commensurate to the chosen candidate's experience and credentials. The Warehouse Operations Lead, with direct reports, will lead Integral Blue's inventory management efforts, support parts procurement processes and will be responsible for the efficient and accurate oversight of all inventory levels. The primary responsibilities include monitoring, tracking, and optimizing inventory, maintaining products at appropriate stock levels, coordinating with suppliers, and implementing inventory management best practices. The Warehouse Operations Lead will use inventory management software and data analysis to maintain precise records, prevent stockouts or overstock situations, and contribute to cost control efforts. In addition, this role supports test equipment and tools, as well as the company's fleet vehicles. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams are essential for maintaining inventory integrity and supporting smooth operational workflows. The position will report directly to the Field Operations Manager. This position will work out of Integral Blue's Auburn Hills, Michigan office. Oversee the shipping and receiving of new inventory items, inspecting them for quality, accuracy, quantity, and compliance with associated documentation., • Parts Procurement. Support processes for procurement, fulfilling internal stock requests from Project Managers and Engineering while managing the ordering process alongside Finance and external suppliers., • Inventory Monitoring. Continuously monitor inventory levels and stock availability to maintain that the right products in the right quantities at the right times., • Inventory Accuracy. Maintain accurate and up to date inventory records through regular counts and reconciliation and address any discrepancies., • Inventory Audits. Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy of physical inventory compared to recorded levels., • Stocking and Reordering. Determine reorder points, safety stock levels, and order quantities for each product to prevent stockout or overstock situations., • Problem Resolution. Address inventory related issues, such as stockouts, overages, and discrepancies, in a timely and effective manner., • Inventory Optimization. Identify slow-moving, excess, or obsolete inventory and develop strategies to minimize wastage and maximize asset utilization., • Reporting and Analysis. Generate and analyze reports on inventory performance, such as turnover rates, aging, and stock levels, to inform decision-making., • Documentation and Record-Keeping. Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, receipts, and adjustments, often using inventory management software., • Technology Utilization. Leverage inventory management software and technology to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and data analysis capabilities., • Test Equipment and Tools Support. Oversee the tracking and availability of test equipment and tools, maintaining accurate accountability and coordinating calibration and servicing as needed., • Fleet Vehicle Support. Oversee fleet vehicle logistics, including coordinating service and repair scheduling, procurement of related supplies, and vehicle movements to meet operational needs., • Maintain compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and internal policies related to inventory management., • Collaborate with various departments, such as finance, human resources, health & safety, construction services, maintenance services, and consultant services to coordinate and communicate inventory needs and updates., • Training and Education. Stay updated on inventory management best practices and provide training to employees involved in inventory-related tasks. Qualifications Required • Must have a High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Certificate., • Must have a minimum of three years prior working experience managing inventory control, inventory reconciliation, and shipping and receiving., • Must be proficient in utilizing inventory management/tracking software and tools., • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions., • Must understand inventory management principles and best practices., • Must have experience operating a hi-lo., • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook., • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Qualifications Desired • Relevant certifications such as Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified Inventory Optimization Professional (CIOP)., • Associates or bachelors degree in Inventory Control, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, or related field., • Experience with Acumatica, or similar ERP system supporting inventory management & parts procurement, • Experience with Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), fiber optics, low voltage hardware, and supporting technical field work., • Commercial Drivers License (CDL). Physical Requirements • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer., • Must be able to constantly walk, bend, and regularly lift up to 75 pounds., • Must be able to carry and climb ladders at various heights., • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organizations facilities. Travel Requirements • Regular travel to and from Integral Blues Corporate Office in Auburn Hills, MI., • Occasional travel to and from other Integral Blue inventory storage facilities., • Possible out-of-state travel. Supervision and Oversight • Supervise inventory control team members, including Warehouse Technicians., • Oversee and direct activities of inventory control related tasks assigned to direct reports., • Review timesheets for staff, approve/deny PTO requests, and update PTO calendar., • Perform or facilitate training for employees., • Develop and manage the day-to-day performance and career development of direct reports., • Communicate regularly with direct reports to provide timely feedback, resolve issues, and foster engagement., • Conduct performance reviews according to company requirements.
