Job DescriptionSalary: $19 per hour Join Our Mission: Help Create a Safe and Supportive Community at the Recovery Caf AtCommunity-Minded Enterprises, we believe recovery happens in community. Through our Recovery Caf, we provide a welcoming, drug- and alcohol-free space where individuals can find connection, support, and hope on their recovery journey. We are looking for a reliable and community-minded team member to help support the day-to-day operations of the Recovery Caf. This part-time position (20 hours per week) plays an important role in keeping the Caf running smoothly, from transporting food donations to supporting members, volunteers, and staff in creating a safe, positive, and healing environment. What Youll Do As a Recovery Caf Support Staff member, you will help maintain the welcoming atmosphere of the Caf while supporting operations and community engagement. Food Donation Coordination • Pick up and transport food donations from Feed Spokane to the Recovery Caf on Tuesdays and Fridays., • Unload, organize, and track donated food inventory., • Assist with stocking and maintaining kitchen supplies. Kitchen & Caf Operations • Assist with food preparation, meal service, and kitchen clean-up., • Support general caf operations to ensure the space remains clean, safe, and welcoming., • Help maintain a drug- and alcohol-free environment that supports recovery. Front Desk & Member Support • Assist with front desk responsibilities including answering phones, greeting visitors, and basic data entry., • Communicate caf guidelines and boundaries respectfully with members, volunteers, and staff., • Support members by connecting them to community resources when appropriate. Community Engagement • Support the Recovery Caf Manager with outreach and relationship building in the community., • Assist with facilitating Recovery Circles and new member orientations., • Help support volunteers and contribute to a positive community atmosphere. Additional Support • Assist with other operational activities and projects that support the success of the Recovery Caf. What Were Looking For Education & Experience • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Licenses & Certifications • Valid drivers license, • Current auto insurance and vehicle registration, • Portable background check, • Food Handlers Permit Skills & Abilities Communication • Writes clearly and communicates effectively with diverse individuals., • Able to read and interpret written information. Basic Math & Data • Comfortable performing basic arithmetic., • Experience with simple data tracking or documentation. Interpersonal Skills • Demonstrates empathy, patience, and professionalism., • Focuses on resolving conflicts constructively., • Listens actively and remains open to others ideas. Computer Skills • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Teamwork • Contributes to a supportive team environment., • Welcomes feedback and collaborates well with others.
