Job Description Job Title: Medical Sewer / Assembly Operator ALL SHIFTS AVAILABLE $23/HR- $25/HR Job Description This role supports daily operations by performing precise sewing and final assembly of medical devices, including valves, to support clinical trials and research and development builds. As a key member of the operations team, you will work in a cleanroom environment on delicate components, helping to ensure products meet strict quality standards and regulatory requirements. This position offers significant opportunity for growth as you contribute directly to important clinical milestones. Responsibilities • Perform sewing and final assembly of medical device components, including valves and related tissues, in accordance with established procedures and work instructions., • Support operations builds of valves for clinical trials and R&D activities, ensuring accurate and timely completion of assigned tasks., • Read, comprehend, and strictly follow written procedures, drawings, and specifications, as well as verbal instructions from leads or supervisors., • Handle and maneuver small components and parts with care, maintaining high precision and attention to detail throughout the assembly process., • Use microscopes and other inspection tools to perform detailed work and verify the quality of assemblies and finished products., • Apply good manufacturing practices (GMP) in all tasks, maintaining compliance with production-related systems, procedures, and documentation requirements., • Utilize electronic data collection systems and computer software to record production data, update job documentation, and track work accurately., • Ensure that all relevant job documentation for operations and functions is complete, accurate, and kept up to date., • Follow cleanroom gowning procedures when entering and exiting controlled areas, and adhere to all cleanroom protocols., • Help ensure cleanrooms meet required standards by following appropriate cleaning procedures and maintaining a tidy, organized work area., • Prioritize work by determining the sequencing and timing of different jobs based on precedence, importance, and production needs., • Work independently with minimal supervision while staying focused on quality, productivity, and adherence to procedures., • Collaborate effectively with team members, communicating clearly and professionally to support smooth workflow and problem resolution., • Maintain an acute awareness of finished product quality, promptly identifying and reporting any defects, nonconformances, or process issues., • Experience in medical device manufacturing, including sewing and assembly of medical components., • 3–5 years of experience working in a cleanroom environment with production-related systems and procedures, preferably involving catheters or similar devices., • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow detailed written procedures and work instructions, and to understand and follow verbal directions., • Knowledge of and ability to follow good manufacturing practices (GMP)., • Ability to correctly perform basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division., • Ability to utilize electronic data collection systems and computer software packages for production and documentation tasks., • Strong ability to prioritize work, determining the sequencing and timing of tasks based on importance and production schedules., • Good hand dexterity and eye-hand coordination for handling small components and performing fine sewing and assembly work., • Ability to handle and maneuver small components and parts safely and accurately., • Ability to work independently, remain focused, and maintain productivity with minimal supervision., • Ability to use microscopes for detailed assembly and inspection tasks., • Ability to follow strict gowning procedures and cleanroom protocols., • Experience with medical device assembly involving valves, tissues, and catheter-related products., • Familiarity with production-related systems, processes, and documentation within a regulated environment., • Quality-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance., • Adaptability to an evolving environment and willingness to take on a broad range of responsibilities., • Driven and proactive approach, with a strong sense of urgency in completing tasks and meeting deadlines., • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting. Work Environment You will work primarily in a cleanroom environment focused on sewing and assembling medical valves and tissues. The role involves handling very small components, using microscopes for detailed work, and following strict gowning procedures when entering and exiting the cleanroom. You will use electronic data collection systems and computer software to document your work and support production processes. The environment emphasizes cleanliness, organization, adherence to GMP standards, and teamwork to maintain high product quality and regulatory compliance. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
