AbouttheRole TheAssistantProjectManagerisresponsibleforassistingtheProjectManagerinmanagingmultiplecapitalprojectstosuccessfuloutcomes.Thiseffortextendsacrossthelifespanofaproject,includingplanning,design,construction,andtransitiontooperations. Responsibilities ClientRelations • Establishapositiveandcloseworkingassociationwithcolleagues,buildingmutualrespect,trustofjudgement., • Demonstrateinnovativeadaptabilitytosupportteamobjectives. ScheduleManagement • Maintainprojectschedules., • Participateinprojectactivitytrackingandmanagingcoursecorrections., • Supportcommunicationofscheduletoclientsandusers., • Supportprojectclose-out,start-upandtraininginaccordancewithfacilitymanagementbestpracticestandardsandtechnicalrequirements. CoreResponsibilities • Ensureallsafetyprotocols/regulationsarebeingfollowedforconstructionprojects., • TroubleshootandelevatecomplexissuesthatariseinanurgentyetresponsiblemannertotheProjectManager., • Understandcontractsforallparties(consultants,generalcontractors,vendors,suppliers,etc.),communicateeffectivelytoteammembers,ensureteammembersarecommunicatingeffectivelywitheachother,resolveconflicts,developtrustworthyrelationshipswithclients,solveproblems,andbeabletoconceptuallyprovide/analyzetotalprojectbudgetsandschedules(design,permitting,regulatoryapprovals,construction,equipment,furniture,etc.)., • Followtheprojectmanagementprocessfromthebeginning.Everyprojectmustfollowastandardandorganizedpathfromtheprojectinitiationtoprojectcompletion.Beabletoidentifyopportunitiestoexpeditetheprocesswithoutcompromisingthegoalorfinalproduct., • Employadiversesetofskillsandassistinresolvingproject,client,andpeoplemanagementissues., • Playanintegralroleinestablishingcollaborativeandproductiverelationshipswithprojectteams,includingarchitects,engineers,consultants,commissioningagents,contractors,andbusinesspartners.
