ABOUT THE POSITION: The Materials & Machine Operator is a dual-role position that is responsible for operating production machinery, monitoring quality, handling raw materials, and ensuring efficient workflow throughout the manufacturing process. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that equipment and materials runs efficiently, safely, and within production deadlines. The ideal candidate will be safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - MATERIALS & MACHINE OPERATOR: • Operate, monitor, and set up machinery to meet production specifications., • Perform routine checks, basic maintenance, and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime., • Monitor product quality, document issues, and report to supervisors., • Maintain clean, safe machines in compliance with safety standards; report hazards immediately., • Collaborate with production teams to meet daily goals and schedules., • Keep accurate records of operations, maintenance, and quality checks., • Assist packaging and inventory teams as needed; complete production logs and reports., • Prepare cannabis materials for production by grinding, sifting, and processing according to specifications., • Inspect and remove stems, seeds, or other unwanted material to ensure product quality., • Weigh, measure, and portion prepared material for machine loading., • Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep area in compliance with safety and sanitation standards., • Track and record weights, batch numbers, and production data accurately., • Handle materials with care to prevent contamination or product loss., • Work closely with machine operators to ensure a steady supply of prepped material for continuous production REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES: • Previous experience as a machine operator or in a similar manufacturing role is preferred., • This position is a respirator-required position., • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills., • Strong understanding of cannabis and cannabis quality control., • Ability to read and interpret SOP, manuals, and specifications., • Knowledge of safety standards, Materials, and practices in a production environment., • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality production standards., • Ability to lift and move heavy materials, as needed. This role requires the ability to stand or sit for extended periods, perform repetitive hand and arm movements, and frequently bend or stoop. The employee must also be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. The position is performed indoors, typically in a cooler environment, and requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain safety and compliance standards. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: • AZDHS Facility Agent (FA) card is required to start work, • Ability to lift 50+ pounds as needed., • Quick learner and willing to be coachable and flexible with work tasks., • Must be 21+ years old., • Ability to obtain and maintain an AZDHS Facility Agent Card., • Attention to detail and ability and willingness to follow instructions., • Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time., • Reliable attendance and communication - show up to work when you say you will and do what you say you will do., • Criminal background checks will be performed; most marijuana-related crimes will not negatively impact an application., • High school diploma or GED equivalent (required)., • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred)., • 1–3 years of experience operating industrial machinery Pay Rate: From $15.00 per hour Work Location: In person
