Job Description Job Title: Chief Financial Officer / Chief Operating Officer (CFO/COO) Company: Pravati Capital & 1787 Legal Group Location: Scottsdale, AZ (Arizona residency required) Job Type: Full-Time Executive Compensation: 150,000 – 500,000 total compensation (base + performance-based commission + equity participation) Job Description Pravati Capital and 1787 Legal Group are seeking an experienced CFO/COO to lead financial strategy and day-to-day operations for a private equity-backed, multi-entity litigation finance and ABS legal services platform. This role is ideal for a finance and operations leader who has scaled complex, multi-entity or PE-style platforms and enjoys combining strategic finance, operations, and M&A. You will partner directly with the CEO to strengthen capital structure, institutionalize reporting, oversee ABS and management entity financial operations, and run an EOS-based operating system across the platform. Key Responsibilities • Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting across funds, the ABS law firm, and related entities., • Oversee fund accounting, capital calls, distributions, and investor reporting., • Design and manage capital structure and liquidity strategy across the platform., • Build and maintain financial models, dashboards, and scorecards for leadership and investors., • Support capital-raising with investor-ready materials, due diligence, and direct interaction with RIAs, family offices, and capital partners., • Oversee financial operations across Pravati Capital, 1787 Legal Group, and affiliated professional entities., • Design and maintain intercompany arrangements, revenue sharing, fee structures, and cost allocation between ABS and management entities, drawing where appropriate on MSO-style best practices., • Ensure proper revenue flow, cost allocation, and transfer pricing in line with regulatory and structural requirements., • Drive execution across underwriting, portfolio management, legal operations, HR, IT, and administration., • Own operational KPIs, identify bottlenecks, and lead process improvements., • Lead or co-lead M&A activity from thesis and pipeline through integration., • Own financial due diligence, valuation, deal structuring, and modeling for acquisitions and strategic partnerships., • Present data-driven recommendations on inorganic growth opportunities to the CEO and leadership team., • Coordinate with external counsel, advisors, and counterparties to drive deals through close and integration., • Ensure strong internal controls, financial integrity, and compliance across all entities., • Manage audits, tax planning, banking and lender relationships, and financial regulatory/reporting obligations. Required Qualifications • Progressive finance and/or operations leadership experience, including 5+ years in a CFO, COO, or equivalent C-suite/number-two role., • Direct M&A experience with at least two completed buy-side or sell-side transactions., • Background in private credit, alternative investments, fund management, or complex multi-entity platforms., • Strong corporate and fund finance expertise (forecasting, capital planning, performance measurement)., • Experience running a structured operating system (EOS or similar) using KPIs and scorecards., • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach., • Excellent communication skills and executive presence with external and internal stakeholders., • High integrity and sound judgment with sensitive and confidential information., • Based in Arizona or willing to relocate before starting. Preferred Qualifications • Experience in a private equity–backed environment or working with institutional LPs., • CPA, CFA, MBA, or similar advanced credential., • Experience scaling ABS or MSO-like platforms with complex intercompany structures., • Prior exposure to litigation finance, legal services, or other regulated professional services., • Familiarity with EOS and facilitation of leadership planning sessions. Compensation & Benefits Total compensation ranges from 150,000 to 500,000 annually (base salary, performance-based commission tied to fund and firm milestones, and equity participation).
