Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Chief Medical Officer role in the Greater Houston area. The Chief Medical Officer will lead clinical operations across a multi-site urgent care platform, ensuring high standards of patient care, provider performance, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include developing and implementing clinical protocols, overseeing provider recruitment and performance, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. The role will work closely with executive and operations leadership to improve patient flow, optimize staffing models, and enhance overall care delivery. This position is designed as a true physician-operator role, with direct involvement in strategic planning, growth initiatives, and overall platform performance. The Chief Medical Officer will play a key role in aligning clinical execution with financial outcomes and long-term scalability. Qualifications • MD or DO required, board-certified in a relevant specialty, • Active, unrestricted Texas medical license (or ability to obtain), • Minimum 5+ years of clinical leadership experience, • Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or high-volume outpatient settings preferred, • Proven experience managing providers (MDs, DOs, NPs, PAs) across multiple sites, • Strong understanding of clinical operations, workflows, and performance metrics, • Experience with utilization management, medical affairs, and quality improvement initiatives preferred, • Ability to align clinical decision-making with operational and financial performance, • Excellent leadership, communication, and team development skills, • Prior executive or senior leadership experience within a healthcare organization strongly preferred Compensation • Competitive base salary based on experience, • Performance bonus tied directly to EBITDA growth and clinic-level performance, • Incentives aligned with provider productivity, cost control, and operational efficiency, • Additional upside tied to overall platform performance and scalability, • Opportunity for equity or partnership participation for the right candidate
