Key responsibilities in surgery: Prep, monitor, and recover surgical patients. Perform venipuncture, run diagnostics, perform care services. Safely restrain patients using low-stress handling techniques. Document medical records accurately. Keep a clean environment. Interact with clients with empathy and professionalism. Key responsibilities in wellness care: Perform venipuncture, run diagnostics, perform care services like microchipping, nail trims, ear cleaning, medicating and vaccinations. Knowledge of and communication with clients on available services, products, and basic pet care education. Safely restrain patients using low-stress handling techniques. Document computerized medical records accurately. Interact with clients with empathy and professionalism. Assist in keeping a clean environment. Who we’re looking for: Compassionate Licensed or Experienced Veterinary Technicians who are passionate about animal welfare and helping underserved communities. Ability to lift 50 lbs repetitively and work on your feet. Thrive in a fast-paced setting. Self starter. Punctual. Detail oriented. Dependable, collaborative and positive attitude. Compensation & Benefits: Competitive pay: $16–$24 per hour, based on experience, licensure and job placement. Paid CE, Licensing, MAVT & NAVTA memberships. About our clinics: Flint and Warren provides low-cost spay/neuter, dental prophylaxis and Walk-in Wellness care. Onsite pharmacy, lab, bloodwork, surgery suite and dental surgery suite. In addition, Flint has use of digital x-ray, ultrasound, cold laser, dental x-ray and high speed dental unit. Flint is open Tuesday to Saturday. Warren is open Monday to Saturday. Detroit provides Walk-in Wellness care. Detroit is currently open Thursday and Friday.
