Job DescriptionSeasonal and On-Site Position Overview | The Big Picture The Facilities & Loading Dock Associate is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency of the company's facilities and loading dock. This includes routine cleaning and maintenance duties, managing incoming and outgoing shipments, overseeing dock operations, and supporting equipment and grounds upkeep. The associate plays a vital role in keeping the environment safe, clean, and well-organized for employees, clients, and vendors. The position reports to the Vice President of Maintenance & Operations and may receive direction from the General Manager, Loading Dock Supervisor, Events Logistics Team, and other department managers. Essential Duties | What You’ll Do – The Fun Stuff Facility & Cleaning Responsibilities: • Perform routine cleaning of offices, production areas, kitchens, restrooms, and The Geraghty., • Sanitize high-traffic areas and maintain cleanliness of garbage bins and exterior areas, • Restock cleaning supplies as needed, • Assist in building and grounds maintenance including landscape and upkeep, • Support safety and cleanliness throughout the facility and exterior grounds Dock & Logistics Responsibilities: • Receive and record incoming shipments; notify appropriate staff, • Assist with outgoing deliveries and maintain shipping bins, • Transport deliveries to departments across facilities, • Monitor dock usage by staff and vendors, ensuring authorized access only, • Keep dock area organized, safe, and clean to company standards, • Charge, clean, and maintain dock equipment (e.g., lifts, trash compactor), • Report defective equipment or unsafe conditions to leadership, • Assist with garbage removal and compactor operations Other Duties & Safety Requirements • Follow all safety procedures and mentor safe work practices, • Complete all required training on time, • Submit time tracking, payroll, and HR tasks weekly via the Employee Self Service Portal, • Interface respectfully with colleagues, vendors, and visitors, • Support other departments when needed, • Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications | What You Need to Bring • High School Diploma preferred, • Valid driver’s license preferred, • 1–3 years of experience in facilities or shipping/receiving preferred, • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite), • Ability to interpret inventory/billing sheets, • Experience with hand tools and equipment (e.g., vacuums, floor waxers, drills, ladders, dollies, high lifts, compactors), • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, • Comfortable working flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends Physical & Work Environment Requirements • Stand, walk, kneel, bend, crouch, and reach throughout shift, • Able to walk 75–100% of the shift, • Lift, push, and pull 30–40 lbs. regularly; occasionally over 100 lbs. with help, • Move between multiple buildings during shift, • Must climb ladders and work with hands and arms continuously, • Must have 20/20 vision (with correction), • Work in varying environmental conditions (hot, cold, humid), • Exposure to chemicals, airborne particles, and moderate noise Pay & Benefits | What You’ll Receive • Hourly wage: $18.00 based on experience., • Overtime pay will be provided for hours worked beyond 40 in a workweek at 1.5x the regular rate of pay, in compliance with Illinois labor laws., • Health Insurance: Medical, dental, and vision insurance options available full-time., • Retirement Plan: 401(k) plan with company matching., • Paid Time Off (PTO): In compliance with Illinois State Law., • Flexible scheduling, including evening and weekend availability.
