Job Description The Traffic Engineer will be responsible for leading and overseeing the successful delivery of enforcement services in Connecticut, including but not limited to ensuring timely pre-verification activities, repair and maintenance of enforcement assets, Network Operations Center (NOC) support, and vehicle and trailer operations. This role will define and continuously refine the U.S. service delivery strategy, ensuring the highest standards of safety for employees and stakeholders, while delivering customer satisfaction and cost-efficient solutions. As one of the key leadership roles within our U.S. operations, the Traffic Engineer will play a key part in driving employee performance, engagement, and well-being, helping to cultivate a culture built on care, collaboration, integrity, and performance. What You’ll Do As the Traffic Engineer, you will oversee all enforcement service delivery operations across Connecticut. Reporting to the EVP of Delivery, you will lead a high-performing team while ensuring top-tier safety, quality, and operational excellence. Who You Are You are an experienced operations leader with a strong background in traffic management, field safety, and service delivery. You thrive in fast-moving, safety-critical environments and bring a leadership style that emphasizes accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence. You hold the mandatory ATSSA certification or a CTDOT-approved equivalent, along with other relevant safety qualifications, and have a proven track record of leading large, geographically dispersed teams. Operations Leadership • Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing operations team that embodies Acusensus’ values, fosters safety, and delivers results., • Remove barriers to team productivity, foster engagement, and cultivate leadership and accountability., • Oversee resource planning and make strategic decisions aligned with business priorities., • Ensure timely delivery of all contractual obligations, maintaining industry-leading safety, quality, and performance standards., • Develop, implement, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for safe and consistent service delivery., • Manage all facilities, depots, and storage locations required to support operations., • Oversee helpdesk personnel and processes in collaboration with the Helpdesk lead., • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, efficiency, quality, and cost control., • Partner with the global R&D team to improve operational tools, streamline workflows, and enhance data accuracy., • Lead the design, review, and implementation of traffic management plans for roadside equipment, traffic control devices, signage, and personnel., • Ensure all traffic control and safety procedures meet or exceed CTDOT, NHTSA, and ATSSA standards., • Supervise quality control for all traffic safety procedures, ensuring the safety of personnel, contractors, and the public., • Be available on-site within the same or next business day for project delivery, issue resolution, or field oversight., • Oversee operational and maintenance aspects of all projects, including equipment deployment, data management, reporting, citation processing, and court packet development., • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, government stakeholders, and third-party service providers., • Ensure all operations comply with Acusensus’ policies, procedures, and management systems aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO/IEC 27001, and ISO 14001., • Relevant tertiary or trade qualification (e.g., electrical, civil, or engineering discipline)., • Minimum 10 years’ experience in operations management, including at least 5 years in a leadership role., • Minimum 5 years’ experience in traffic management or a related safety-critical field (preferred)., • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Connecticut or eligible prior to field deployments., • ATSSA-certified traffic safety professional OR CTDOT-approved equivalent (mandatory)., • Demonstrated experience leading large, geographically dispersed operations teams., • Strong strategic and business acumen with the ability to drive innovation and efficiency., • Deep understanding of traffic management, field deployment safety, and maintenance standards (MUTCD, CTDOT, NHTSA, ATSSA)., • Excellent relationship management, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills., • Proven ability to implement and sustain a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
