Job DescriptionSalary: $57,000 to $60,000 Job Description JobTitle: Mobile Food Ambassador JobStatus: RegularFull Time, Salaried FLSA: Exempt Reportsto: Director Job Summary/Purpose: The Mobile Food Ambassadoris responsible forthe strategic planning, development, and oversight of mobile food distribution and nutrition education programs. This role involves exercising independent judgment in program design and operations, managing partnerships, supervising program staff and volunteers, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards. The Ambassador plays a key role in advancing organizational goals related to food security, public health, and community engagement. JobDuties andKeyResponsibilities: • Develop, implement, and continuously improve mobile food distribution and nutrition education programs aligned with community needs and organizationalobjectives., • Analyze local food insecurity trends, community demographics, and partner feedback to inform program design and resource allocation., • Lead grant reporting and program evaluation activities todemonstrateimpact and guide funding strategies., • Establish andmaintainstrategic partnerships with local businesses, health agencies, nonprofits, and government entities to enhance program reach and effectiveness., • Represent the organization at public forums, coalition meetings, and media engagements to promote nutrition and food security initiatives., • Plan and coordinate community outreach and educational events, ensuring cultural relevance and accessibility., • Recruit, supervise, and support program staff and volunteers, including assigning tasks,monitoringperformance, and providing coaching and feedback., • Foster a collaborative team environment that supports professional development and continuous learning., • Oversee program budgets, track expenditures, and manage inventory systems tooptimizethe use of donated andpurchasedresources., • Make recommendations for resource acquisition, allocation, and process improvements based on data analysis and operational needs., • Ensure all program activitiescomply withfood safety regulations, grant requirements, and agency policies., • Maintainaccurateandtimelydocumentation of program metrics, client demographics, and outcomes., • Prepare and present comprehensive reports for senior leadership, funders, and community stakeholders., • Safely operateSDLR vehicles totransport food,resourcesand materials to distribution events., • Allmembers of the SDLR workforce are expected to support the agencys community outreach, civic engagement, and recruitment efforts., • Support the agencys fundraisingobjectives, which may include taskssuch asactive fundraising, grant development, solicitation of donations, agencyambassadorship,informational outreach, and public speaking., • Commitment to andexperiencewithequity, cultural relevance, diversity, social justice, and disparity reduction practices with persons of color, agencies of color, and underserved communities., • Ability toestablishand maintain effective working relationships with clients, co-workers, agency partners, and the public., • High school diploma or equivalent., • Twoyears of experience managing community-based programs, preferably in food security, nutrition, or social services., • Valid Colorado Drivers License with a cleandriving record for the past 3 years (CDL preferred)., • DIVERSITY & INCLUSIVITY- Is sensitive to cultural diversity, race, gender, and other individual differences in the workforce; recognizes the value of diverse perspectives and experiences, and fosters a work environment reflective of the community at large., • DECISION MAKING-Identifyingand understanding issues, problems, and opportunities; comparing data fromdifferent sourcesto draw conclusions; using effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developingappropriate solutions; taking action that is consistent with available facts, constraints, and probable consequences., • BUILDING TRUST- Interacting with others in a way that gives them confidence in ones intentions and those of the organization., • INNOVATION- Creating novel solutions with measurable value for existing and potential customers (internal or external); experimenting with new ways to solve work problems and seize opportunities that result in unique and differentiated solutions., • DRIVING FOR RESULTS- Settinghigh goalsfor personal and group accomplishment; using measurement methods tomonitorprogress toward goals; tenaciously working to meet or exceed goals while deriving satisfaction from that achievement and continuous improvement., • While performing the duties of this job, the employeeis regularly required to: stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers tooperatecomputers,telephones, and a variety of office equipment., • Must be able tolift upto35-50lbsfor essentialduties,non-accommodatabletasks., • Must beable towalk,squat, bend,reach, stoop, or kneel., • Must be able to work in an environment withfrequentlychanging temperatures., • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work., • While performing the duties of this job, the employeeis regularly required to: stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers tooperate a computer, telephone, and a variety of office equipment, • ADA accessible; Active Safety Committee., • Ability to perform basic office duties.
