Job Responsibilities: • Support the Center Director in administering student assessments and developing student learning plans, • Assist with sales responsibilities, including promptly responding to leads and successfully enrolling students, • Provide exceptional customer service by building relationships with families and communicating student progress, • Lead and coach team members to effectively deliver individualized instruction in a group setting, • Manage students learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions, • Mentor and support employee development by providing on-the-job training to instructional staff, • Teach/tutor in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices, • Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes, • Support the maintenance of a safe and professional learning environment, • Passion for math and working with students, • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, • Eagerness to learn and be trained, • Ability to cultivate teamwork and balance education and sales responsibilities, • Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I Mathnasium locations are independently owned and operated by franchisees of Mathnasium Center Licensing, LLC ("Mathnasium"). Job Description Join our Youth Development Team-Help set up a generation of high school students for academic success! The Y has been a trusted leader in youth development for generations. As an Afterschool Tutor you'll help students achieve their academic goals, while assisting them in gaining more knowledge through academic support in math, science or English language arts. In this role, you will partner with the YMCA after school program to provide 4 hours of after school tutoring to high school students on the campus of an LAUSD public school. Supported by a program assistant and YMCA Site Coordinate, the After School Tutor will provide a safe space for students to complete homework and school work, obtain tutoring services and advance academically. This is a seasonal position offered during the school year and on school days only.
