We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced seasonal Full time Chinese Immersion Lead Teachers to join our team. Our teachers come from around the world and are passionate about making language learning fun through hands-on activities, songs, games, outdoor fun, and cultural connections. Language Immersion Teachers are at the heart of this award-winning and dynamic summer camp. Teachers lead groups of 8-16 campers in explorations of language and culture in Spanish, Mandarin, or Japanese. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to planning and implementing curriculum, as related to session themes; managing classroom behavior and creating a safe, welcoming, child-friendly environment; managing and directing teacher's aide and floating aides; ensuring that children are supervised 100% of the time they are at camp; communicating with parents, camp director, and other staff. Other duties include supervising campers in the classroom, on the playground, on field trips, and with specialist teachers; communicating with families and camp director; assisting with special events; helping distribute materials, and assisting with teaching, when appropriate; advocating and promoting the camp; and working collegially with administrators and fellow teachers.
