Job Description Let your career thrive with Volt Volt is immediately hiring for a 2nd shift Material Handler with Forklift License for a cold food manufacturer in Oceanside, Ca. As a Material Handler you will: • Load, unload, move, count/pick, stack, and stage product and materials using a sit-down or stand-up forklift as required., • Drives electric-powered devices such as forklifts, elevating platforms to lift or stack products or materials., • Accurately pull and prepare materials using the first-in, first-out (FIFO) methodology for production orders., • Inspect all materials during picking, shipping, and receiving to ensure product number accuracy and material is free of damage., • Responsible for filling out all documentation correctly and clearly., • Conduct daily cycle counts at both warehouses: 1301 and 1322., • The Inventory Manager or Supervisor will release the cycle count schedule to the Inventory Warehouse team on the first day after the month-end closing., • No changes are to be made to the inventory by the Cycle Counter; all variances must be sent to the IC Supervisor and Manager, who will make the adjustments after verifying and confirming all the information., • Material Handlers must check the REWEIGH COMBOS spreadsheet daily, complete all required information, and send a communication email to the Manager and Supervisor., • Follow the daily production schedule and achieve specified goals., • Maintain equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion., • All Material Handlers will receive cross-training on all tasks required in the department., • Always adhere to company and OSHA safety rules, regulations, and guidelines., • Assist in maintaining/promoting the safety of the warehouse. Report on issues and problems to management. Will support and abide by the company’s safety program and all safety initiatives, policies, and procedures., • Inspect any assigned equipment daily. Operate all equipment safely and efficiently, following work methods and OSHA standards., • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) training, along with company pre-requisite programs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs). This is a full time opportunity The ideal candidate will have: Education & Training: * High School Diploma or GED preferred Experience Required: * Minimum of 1-3 years of forklift experience * Professional resume Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Aable to lift 50 lbs, basic math and computer skills. * Solid understanding of warehouse operations, material flow, and inventory movement * Familiarity with inventory control systems, FIFO practices, and basic ERP environments * Knowledge of safety standards and compliance requirements, including OSHA regulations and GMPs * Strong attention to detail and accuracy in picking, staging, counting, and documenting materials * Proven ability to manage time effectively and meet daily production and shipping deadlines * Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in team-based environments * Ability to safely lift, move, and stack materials in accordance with required weight limits * Highly organized with the ability to remain focused while managing multiple tasks * Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, standard operating procedures, and work instructions * Capable of working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment * Experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts * Demonstrated reliability, strong attendance, and dependability * Flexible availability, including the ability to work overtime and weekends as needed * Availability to work 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm * Able to clear a drug test • Language, Computer & Numeracy Skills Working knowledge of ERP systems preferred * Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel * Comfortable using computers for data entry, documentation, and reporting * Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English * Strong numeracy skills, including the ability to perform basic arithmetic operations, work with fractions and decimals, and complete unit-of-measure conversions Pay Rate: $20.00/hr *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
