Job Description Substitute Yard and Duty Assistant Position Summary Monitors cafeteria, playground, drop off and pick-up zones, and other school site environments to assure the safety and positive behaviors of students, predominantly in an elementary school setting. Work Year: Continuous Employee Type: Part Time Salary: $16.73 per hour (Step 1 of the Board Approved CSEA Salary Schedule for the classification. NOTE: Updated 1‐1‐25; shade out Grade 103 Step 1. Minimum wage is $16.50/hr effective January 1, 2025) Basic Function Under direct supervision, provide for the safety and welfare of students during non-classroom activities; communicate observations and incidents which may impact a student’s development and/or the general well-being of other school personnel; provide appropriate emergency care as may be necessary.
