As we pursue strategic expansion into complementary areas such as pharmacovigilance (PV), we seek an accomplished advisor to guide our growth trajectory. Role Summary We seek an experienced Board Advisor with deep expertise in Business Development, Corporate Development, and Strategic Partnerships, with a particular focus on pharmacovigilance. This strategic advisory role will provide counsel to Sciom’s executive team and Board on expanding our service portfolio through PV integration and related services. The ideal candidate will have hold Director-level positions promoting pharmacovigilance services or solutions at PrimeVigilance, ProductLife Group (PLG), Oracle (Argus), or Ergomed. This is a part-time advisory position (up to 2-3 days per month), remote-friendly with occasional travel. Compensation includes competitive fees, share options, and performance-based incentives. Key Responsibilities • Advise on business development strategies for PV market entry and growth, leveraging proven methodologies from prior PV-focused roles., • Identify and develop strategic partnerships, alliances, and client relationships in the pharma, biotech, and CRO space, utilizing existing networks from PrimeVigilance, PLG, Oracle Argus, or Ergomed., • Evaluate corporate development opportunities including M&A, joint ventures, and technology licensing that strengthen Sciom’s PV and regulatory capabilities., • Provide market intelligence on PV trends, competitive landscape, safety database platforms (e.g., Oracle Argus), and evolving global regulations (EMA, FDA, ICH GVP)., • Guide internal teams on PV sales strategies, pipeline development, deal structuring, and client retention approaches that delivered results in previous director roles., • Deliver quarterly strategic updates and deal recommendations to the Board., • Minimum 10+ years in Business Development, Corporate Development, or Strategic Partnerships, including at least 5 years in a Director-level (or equivalent) role promoting pharmacovigilance services or safety platforms., • Specific Industry Experience Required: Direct experience in a senior commercial leadership position at one or more of the following:, • PrimeVigilance – end-to-end pharmacovigilance and medical information services, • ProductLife Group (PLG) – regulatory affairs, QPPV/LSO, and full outsourcing PV solutions, • Oracle (Argus) – pharmacovigilance safety database and enterprise safety platform sales/alliances, • Ergomed – integrated CRO and specialized pharmacovigilance services, • Proven track record of closing major PV contracts, expanding client portfolios, and achieving/exceeding revenue targets ($5M+ annual new business typical)., • Deep expertise in PV lifecycle management, safety database platforms (especially Oracle Argus), regulatory submissions, and signal/risk management., • Exceptional executive network across pharma, biotech, and CROs in EU, US, and emerging markets., • Strong commercial acumen with experience in complex deal negotiation, partnership structuring, and territory growth planning., • Outstanding communication and board-level presentation skills., • Thorough knowledge of ICH E2B(R3), GVP Modules, MedDRA, and global safety reporting requirements., • High-impact strategic role shaping the future of a fast-growing CDMO entering the PV space., • Collaborative, entrepreneurial culture with direct access to CEO and Board., • Equity participation and performance-linked incentives.
