🚛 HGV Driver (Class C1) - Southampton Salary: £29,000 per annum Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Location: Southampton Start Date: Immediate start available / ASAP Are you a reliable and professional Class C1 Driver looking for a varied role with minimal driving and no multi-drop pressure? We are currently recruiting for an HGV Driver (Class C1) to join a well-established business in Southampton. This role offers a great balance between driving and customer-facing duties, making it ideal for someone who enjoys being active and working independently. The Role • Driving between just 2-3 local sites in Southampton, • No multi-drop deliveries, • Transporting and delivering equipment to customer locations, • Collecting equipment and returning it to site, • Occasional use of a company van for urgent or fast-track deliveries, • Loading and unloading equipment, • Providing excellent customer service whilst on site, • Maintaining accurate delivery and collection records Please note: • Approximately 30% driving and 70% physical delivery/collection work, • A significant amount of walking is involved throughout the day Requirements • Valid Class C1 Driving Licence, • Valid Driver CPC Card, • Good communication and customer service skills, • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and walking, • Reliable and professional approach to work, • Able to pass a Basic DBS Check, • Willing to participate in random alcohol and drug testing Working Hours Working on a rota basis, 40 hours per week: • 06:00 - 14:00, • 14:00 - 22:00 Some weekend shifts required: • 10:00 - 18:00 What's on Offer? ✅ £29,000 annual salary ✅ Permanent position ✅ Local Southampton routes only ✅ No multi-drop deliveries ✅ Immediate start available ✅ Full training and support provided ✅ Interview arranged quickly for suitable candidates Interested?
