Procurement Manager Are you ready to play a key role in driving procurement excellence for a leading UK manufacturer? We’re working with an organisation recognised for its innovation and quality in oil based products. With a strong reputation for operational excellence and a collaborative culture, they’re now looking for a Procurement Manager to join their leadership team and shape the future of their supply chain operations. Our Role This is a pivotal position within the business, reporting directly to the leadership team. The Procurement Manager will oversee procurement operations and supply chain performance within a complex, fast-moving manufacturing environment. You’ll be responsible for ensuring supplier quality, process efficiency, and cost-effective sourcing, while leading a small team and working closely with production, operations, and planning teams. This is a hands-on and strategic role, perfect for someone who enjoys combining tactical delivery with long-term improvement initiatives in a dynamic SME setting. Key Responsibilities • Manage end-to-end procurement processes and contracts, • Oversee and develop two direct reports across purchasing and production planning, • Lead supplier performance management, ensuring high standards of quality and reliability, • Drive continuous improvement through KPI tracking and data-led decision-making, • Foster strong relationships with key suppliers across the UK and EU, • Work closely with internal teams to enhance scheduling accuracy, lead times, and cost control, • Report directly to leadership , maintaining visibility of procurement performance Who We’re Looking For • Proven experience in procurement within manufacturing, • Experience managing and developing teams, • Strong record of supplier quality improvement and performance management, • Expertise in contract management and process optimisation, • Ability to work effectively within a cost-conscious SME environment Desirable: • Experience working in SME manufacturing or production environments, • Strong leadership qualities and a collaborative, hands-on approach, • A flexible, solutions-focused mindset Success Measures: Within the first six months, the successful candidate will: • Take ownership of key procurement activities, • Strengthen supplier relationships and improve visibility around purchasing and quality data, • Implement structured processes to reduce operational risk, • Demonstrate measurable progress on procurement KPIs aligned with operational efficiency and quality standards What We’re Offering: In return for your expertise, commitment, and results-driven approach, you’ll receive: • £45,000 salary - £55,000 car allowance, • Company-paid sickness cover, • Predominately Office-based role, • Opportunity to make a tangible impact within a growing, innovation-led business Join Us: If you’re a proactive procurement professional looking to take ownership, lead change, and make a real difference within a respected UK manufacturer — we’d love to hear from you.
