Role Overview The firm is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to take a leading role in audit engagements across a variety of sectors. A key part of this position will involve working on one of their largest clients — a substantial group with multiple subsidiaries — requiring solid experience in group audits, consolidations, and managing tight reporting deadlines. This role is well-suited to someone who enjoys a small-practice atmosphere, values client-facing responsibility, and wants to play an active role in enhancing audit quality and internal processes. Key Responsibilities • Lead audit planning, fieldwork, and completion across a portfolio of clients, including technically complex assignments., • Take a significant role in the audit of a large multi-entity group, including:, • Preparing and reviewing consolidated financial statements, • Managing group audit requirements and reporting deadlines, • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP (FRS 102)., • Identify audit risks, propose solutions, and communicate technical issues clearly., • Build strong relationships with clients, acting as a key point of contact throughout each audit cycle., • Support colleagues with technical queries, research, and process improvement initiatives. Skills & Experience Required • Ideally ACA/ACCA qualified, though strong auditors without formal qualification will be considered., • Solid experience in the full audit process within practice., • Proven experience with group structures and consolidations., • Strong understanding of UK GAAP (FRS 102) and current auditing standards., • Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills., • Ability to manage multiple assignments, work independently, and meet deadlines., • Proactive, analytical, and detail-driven approach.
