The Role: Machine Operator We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Operator to join our motor assembly line at our Kidlington site. The role will involve hands-on assembly and testing of high-performance electric motors and associated components for UAV applications. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a technical or manufacturing environment and be confident using a variety of tools and equipment. Day-to-day tasks will include precision assembly, quality checking, and ensuring processes are carried out safely and efficiently to meet production requirements. Operators will also be expected to provide feedback to production engineers on process challenges, tooling, or potential improvements to support continuous development of the line. The successful candidate will take pride in producing high-quality work, follow specifications with accuracy, and demonstrate good problem-solving ability when issues arise. Tasks and Accountabilities Precision Assembly • Assemble high-performance electric motors and associated components for UAV applications according to detailed specifications., • Perform routine quality checks to ensure products meet specifications and production standards., • Follow all safety procedures, including handling of strong permanent magnets and magnetic assemblies., • Provide feedback to engineers on tooling, assembly processes, or potential improvements., • Conduct final assembly, testing, and packaging of products ready for delivery., • Work effectively as part of the production team, communicating clearly with colleagues and engineers., • Take pride in producing high-quality work consistently., • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic and fast-paced environment Requirements • Previous hands-on experience in a mechanical, electrical, or precision assembly role., • Familiarity small-scale manufacturing equipment (such as presses, winding machines, or crimping tools)., • Ability to handle fine tolerances and perform accurate manual assembly tasks., • Experience working with adhesives, resins, or impregnation processes in a production environment., • Understanding of basic quality control procedures and ability to follow product specifications., • Awareness of safe handling practices for strong permanent magnets and magnetic assemblies., • Comfortable with final assembly, testing, and packaging of technical products., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high workmanship standards., • Ability to follow safety and operating procedures consistently., • Good teamwork and communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving., • Willingness to provide feedback to engineers to help refine processes and improve efficiency., • Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
