Role Purpose The Service Architect is a strategic leader within Logicalis’ Managed Services organisation, focused on designing, standardising, and commercialising repeatable and high-value service offerings. The role supports sales success by equipping the organisation with the tools, knowledge, and collateral needed to position and sell Managed Services that deliver significant business outcomes. While customer-facing, the role complements the sales function by engaging strategically with customers to shape complex service solutions and articulate Logicalis’ value proposition. Travel across the UK & Ireland will be required to support regional teams and customers. The Service Architect ensures service designs are robust, commercially viable, and ready for seamless handover to project or transition management, without being directly involved in delivery. Responsibilities Sales enablement & Commercial Management • Support and contribute to tender and bid responses, ensuring alignment with service capabilities and commercial strategy., • Engage with customers at key stages to shape high-value service solutions, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and commercial goals., • Develop and maintain a portfolio of repeatable, high-value Managed Services offerings and associated sales collateral., • Build and refine cost models, pricing frameworks, and margin analysis tools for complex and strategic services., • Train and support sales teams in qualifying and positioning high-value opportunities, articulating differentiated value propositions, and responding to customer requirements., • Collaborate with sales, finance, and product management to ensure commercial viability and competitiveness of services., • Support commercial negotiations for strategic deals, including SLAs, service credits, and contract terms., • Provide reliable ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude) pricing and support early-stage qualification for complex opportunities. Opportunity Qualification • Actively qualify opportunities to ensure focus on strategic, high-value engagements., • Ensure focus remains on strategic, repeatable service opportunities by guiding bespoke or tactical requests to appropriate teams. Service Design & Portfolio Management • Design scalable, supportable, and profitable service solutions focused on repeatable and higher-value offerings., • Collaborate with colleagues across the broader Logicalis Group companies and global Centres of Excellence to develop cost models and identify services that address both current and future requirements., • Ability to design integrated solutions across multiple Managed Services domains., • Adapt standard service designs for strategic customers, ensuring commercial and operational feasibility., • Author Statements of Work (SOWs) and Service Design Packages for sales-led engagements, prioritising services with significant business impact., • Maintain central documentation and ensure service designs are approved and aligned with partner capabilities., • Feed into project and transition management by providing clear, standardised service documentation and handover materials. Measures of Success • Increased win rates and reduced time-to-contract for repeatable, high-value Managed Services opportunities., • Standardised, well-documented service designs and sales collateral for strategic offerings., • Deliver 80%+ of all SOWs against standard service designs, • Reduced time to deliver customer SOWs and time-to-contract., • Sales teams equipped to qualify and position Managed Services effectively, focusing on high-value opportunities., • Commercially viable proposals with clear margin and risk analysis for complex services., • Successful handover of service designs to project and transition management. Stakeholder Engagement • Build strong relationships across sales, commercial, and service delivery teams., • Engage with customers to understand requirements for complex, high-value services and articulate Logicalis’ differentiated value proposition., • Collaborate with key internal and external partners to enhance service offerings and drive innovation. Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications • 5+ years’ experience in Managed Services, with a strong commercial orientation and focus on high-value, repeatable offerings., • Proven ability to develop cost models, pricing strategies, and sales enablement tools for complex services., • Proven understanding of market rates and competitive positioning for Managed Services., • Proven ability to structure commercially viable service proposals in collaboration with sales and commercial teams., • Experience supporting strategic customer engagements and contributing to complex bids., • Knowledge of service design methodologies and ITIL frameworks (V3/V4)., • Experience supporting sales teams and engaging with customers at all levels, especially for strategic deals., • Strong communication, documentation, and relationship-building skills., • Relevant business or technology degree preferred., • Commercial astuteness and ability to balance risk vs. reward.
