Job Title: CNC Production Manager Location: Coventry Hours: 0700-1600 Monday to Thursday Salary: £43,000 – £47,000 per annum Introduction We are seeking an experienced CNC Production Manager to take full ownership of CNC operations across a multi-machine environment. This is a leadership role where you will drive performance, efficiency, and quality, while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Benefits for a CNC Production Manager • Competitive salary between £43,000 – £47,000 per annum, • Opportunity to lead a growing and skilled CNC team, • Involvement in continuous improvement and strategic projects, • Career development and progression opportunities Key Responsibilities for a CNC Production Manager • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of CNC Team Leaders and Operators., • Manage recruitment, training, and progression of departmental staff., • Ensure production targets and delivery schedules are achieved across 17 CNC machines., • Use OEE data to monitor performance and drive improvement initiatives., • Identify and resolve bottlenecks, downtime, and waste using Lean tools and techniques., • Embed 5S, structured housekeeping, and visual management into daily operations., • Champion health and safety, carrying out risk assessments and toolbox talks., • Oversee both planned and reactive maintenance to maximise machine uptime., • Lead continuous improvement initiatives aligned with SQCDP (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People) principles., • Provide data-driven reports and insights to senior management. Candidate Requirements for the role of CNC Production Manager • Proven leadership experience managing CNC operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment., • Strong technical knowledge of CNC machining, programming, tooling, and process optimisation., • Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and motivate teams to deliver excellence., • Hands-on experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement projects., • Strong understanding of OEE, SQCDP, and performance measurement tools., • Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills., • A proactive and strategic mindset with the ability to balance daily management with long-term improvements.
