Location: Horwich Contract: Full‑Time, Term‑Time Only Start Date: ASAP About the Role We are seeking a dedicated, energetic, and caring Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Horwich‑based primary school. This full‑time position is based within our Reception (EYFS) class, supporting children at the very beginning of their learning journey. As a Teaching Assistant, you will: Support high‑quality teaching and learning in the Reception classroom Work 1:1 and with small groups to develop early literacy, numeracy, and communication skills Assist with play‑based and outdoor learning activities Help maintain a positive, safe, and engaging classroom environment Contribute to planning, preparation of resources, and classroom organisation Support children with personal, social, and emotional development Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and staff What We’re Looking For We welcome applications from candidates who: Have experience working with children in Early Years / EYFS Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification (desirable) Are patient, creative, proactive, and child‑centred Have strong communication and teamwork skills Are committed to supporting every child to thrive Are enthusiastic about early childhood development and play‑based learning Why Join Us?
